Once, long ago, the four nations of ponykind were wracked by an endless war.
And when the Windigos came to feed upon their strife, they teetered on the edge of total annihilation.
Ravaged and weak, the four nations united in the hopes that a way could be found to save them all.
Even with hatreds and rivalries that ran as deep as blood and bone, they pooled their resources to cast a desperate spell.
And created something none of them could ever have imagined.
Those that would bear the magic of all four tribes within themselves:
The Avatars.
Through the centuries, some of their names would be written into legend and become the rulers of Equestria.
Sol Celestia, Avatar of the Heavens.
Artemis Luna, Avatar of War.
Mi Amore Cadenza, Avatar of Love.
Yet peace is ever a fragile thing. Harmony never easy to maintain. Rule and Reign ever uncertain.
And war is ever a seductive mistress.
But as the United Nations of Equestria spiral ever closer to revolution and chaos, all hope is not lost.
For even as the three great Avatar's of legend struggle to hold their nation together...
There may yet be another.

Well, this is definitely interesting. Especially that key question of, "What's the fourth kind of pony?" I have a guess in that regard, but I look forward to finding out for certain.

i am hesitant to get behind this new story as ive seen too many Avatar crossovers that were just a reposting of the series but with ponies, so i will withhold judgment...for now...
