Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks; why I can't replace it

So my order of Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks arrived a couple days ago. I didn't watch it immediately as I was doing other things, but I did start to watch it (key word being start). At first, I thought this film was money well-spent: I thought the villains were creative, the story was compelling, and I did want to know how the characters would come out of everything... So I just Realized Something About Season 4

So, I'm finally blogging in this site. Huzzah? I don't know, I'm not really one for blogging. But I just realized a common thread in Season 4 of MLP, and I kind of wanted to rant. So, I thought that "What better way to rant than with a blog that no one will probably read?" Ha! Ahem, anyway.

Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks; why I can't replace it · 10:31pm Oct 30th, 2014

So my order of Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks arrived a couple days ago. I didn't watch it immediately as I was doing other things, but I did start to watch it (key word being start). At first, I thought this film was money well-spent: I thought the villains were creative, the story was compelling, and I did want to know how the characters would come out of everything... Then, I hit the halfway point, and don't get me wrong, I didn't find anything wrong with the movie... Just my copy.

Just when the Rainbooms were going to sign up for the Battle of the Bands, my DVD skipped ahead to a later scene. Then, when the scene was over, it went back to the scene it skipped, only to go back to where the previous scene ended. If you didn't understand what i just typed, then we're on the right track. I don't know what went wrong with my copy of the film, but I knew that it wasn't right. So, my first thought was, "I'll just exchange it for a copy that works, that shouldn't be too hard, right?" Amazon no longer lists it. So, not only am I stuck with a defective DVD, but I can't exchange it for another one... Damn... Just, damn...

EDIT: I just learned that EVERY copy of the DVD has this flaw, not just mine. Though, apparently the flaw is only activated when you hit Play Movie on the Main Menu. If you go to Scene Select and click the first scene, then the film should play properly.
