A typical day on the internet for TD · 9:15am Oct 30th, 2014

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fanfiction site open? Check.

Editing article about the Ebola virus epidemic in West Africa on Wikipedia? Check.

Arguing with someone on YouTube who is explaining energy stress tensors and how gravity works without bothering to use capital letters in their explanation, and who started off their argument with "calm ur tits, grasshopper"? Check.

Yep. Typical day on the Internet.

In more productive news, my short story, Dawn, from the Writeoff a couple months back, is about ready to get eyes on it again for editing, so hopefully it will go up in the next few days once I figure out which ending I am going to use and have some other people pick it apart for issues. If you're interested in being one of said people, give me a poke.

I note your Pathfinder_OGC bookmark with approval, sir.

I have three different roleplaying games bookmarked in my bookmark bar. :moustache:

Well, yes, but I approve of only one of them.

Well. Two, anyway. :trollestia:

Clearly that must be for 4th edition and Pathfinder. No one approves of Roleplaying is Magic. :ajsmug:

Resolved: Fourth edition is of the Devil.

Did you manage to calm your tits?

The YouTube comment section: where sanity goes to die.

I tried Roleplaying is Magic once. The edition we were using thought it would be a good idea to have 100 discrete skills. It didn't take long for us to decide it wasn't working.

RIM is a bit of a mess. 100 skills is not unreasonable in the right kind of system, but RIM doesn't really execute on the idea properly at all, and is kind of a mish-mash. Though I've not gone through the latest edition yet, which may be better.

2565169 After trying that, and then thinking about it more, I've come to the conclusion that FATE would be the best system for capturing a FiM feel to a trpg. Or at least something narrative-driven and freeform.
