Spoilers and Theories on Cannon.

Evening all as stated in the title this blog contains spoilers and theories that I think are interesting.
So here's your second warning turn back or I may spoil Rainbow Rocks for you.

So I just watched the movie (and loved it) and when Twilight explained who the Dazzlings were and who defeated them in the past I think Hasbro just made both the movie and the comics cannon.
Bare with me now and Liston to why I think this, the Sirens were defeated by Starswirl the beaded and banished to the human world. That means he banished them through the mirror and if you've read the comic like I have you learn it was Starswirl who made the mirror portals, using that knowledge I conclude that the comic is now cannon.
Also we see that Twilight is in her castle fresh after defeating Tirek, with this I conclude that the movie is now cannon.
So by telling us Starswirl banished the sirens in the movie and starting us off in Twilight's castle I have deduced that Hasbro has in fact made it clear that the movie and comic are both cannon to the series.
But of course that is just a theroy that I could be wrong on.
