Let's Try this Again.

Well hello FIM Fiction.com! (Net) Travolore here. (And Footnote. Sadly.) Well It would seem I've gained another follower so yay me! (Although with a name like Bronyslayer that may not be a good thing...) In writing news I actually am planning to release a prologue for one of my stories. So to all those who viewed my last post (All 12 of you) be sure to check that out when (not if?) it come out! To my followers (all four) thank you for following a guy who has done pretty much zip up until this point! I will have to ensure I follow some of you. Now onto a more relevant topic. Equestria Girls. (You may remember it as the horrible fanfition designed to sell toys.) Needless to say it was met with...mixed reviews. (cough death notes cough) Which is why I, like many, were apprehensive about the sequel, Rainbow Rocks. On the one hand, oh god not again, on the other Vinyl. I resolved to watch it and having done so, I have some things to say. (Drumroll please.)
#1- Plot. It was actually fairly solid. It's no Shakespeare, but then again it certainly isn't a cliche filled plot holed riddled mess either. (Some explanation as to how the Sirens look so young after, oh I don't know, at least a thousand years would have been nice. Oh also if Twilight wasn't getting that book at that exact moment, no movie.)
#2-Characters. Character portrayal was pretty good I would say.
#3- Flash Sentry. You hated him last time? Well in this movie he serves even less of a purpose. He's just kind of there. (No comment.)
#4- Background Ponies. This truly was the movie of cameos. Vinyl made a return along with Ditzy 'Derpy Hooves' Doo and a host of new fellows including Bulk 'Snowflake' Biceps, Lyra, Bon Bon, Octavia and what I think was Cloudkicker! (There are probably some we missed however. Photo Finish for one.)
#5- Vinyl's voice (Or lack thereof). SO our first short we saw for this project starred Vinyl. She showed up in at least one other. She's in the trailer. And the best she plays an integral role to the plot twice! And does she get a voice!? NO! (We're speechless over here.) It is perhaps one of the greatest trolls since Derpy got her 'voice'.
So I suppose the question is it worth watching? I would say so. If I had to rate this I would give it a 7/10. (It's good, but it is still a thinly veiled plot to sell monster high knock offs.)
