Started a New Horror Story · 3:02am Oct 21st, 2014
So a while back I held a small little poll about what story I should start next during my small little Lazarus break. Well here are some estimated results
Planet of the Equines (Apes adaptation)
which is ever so slightly ahead of:
A horror story involving Princess Twilight Sparkle (I forgot the name wow so sad ;-;.)
And finally a war story set in the Napoleonic Era between Humans and ponies. < Despite this being last some people had said they wouldn't mind seeing this.
Well okay the POE story won by a land slide, which is kinda odd seeing that story about a group of humans returning to Earth after a cataclysmic event (WW3) would be voted so much for even though I already have Lazarus.
Anyhow, I'll have to decline all of your votes. xD
Just kidding, but still. I won't be writing it... yet.
Seeing as Halloween or Nightmare Night as some Fimficitoners like to call it. Even though I'll agree it is a pretty awesome name, I'll be choosing the horror story over Planet of the Equines. Why? Obviously it fits the month's theme.
Over my writing break I have been taking so far I have been reading/watching a lot of horror related stories/films. Mainly Stephen King because I'm a fanboy and appreciate his writing style, which is usually very down to earth and gruesome. For those of you who read the original Lazarus story before the rewrite you would have notice in the final chapters before I scrapped it, I had some very-very gruesome deaths.
For a sci-fi fantasy however it didn't fit very well with the theme; however, this story will be the perfect place for me to write all my dark thoughts. And the concept alone I have planned out is all too perfect. (Evil laugh)
I already have a thousand odd some words written and when I'm done with the first chapter (I've decided I'll have this as a small side story with maybe ten or so decently sized chapters) I'll allow of you to take a quick peek and tell me what you think before posting!
;)
Yes why would people want to see Planet of the Equines, when Lazarus has been soooooooo satisfying?
On a side note, I did read Lazarus before this, though it wasn't the one you keep mentioning. Must of been your fist attempt at a rewrite.
2546892 I was referencing back to the mech attack that brutally murdered like 5 ponies for no reason.
I imagine a lot of people are here because of Lazarus. If they like the genre of humans returning after a cataclysmic event, then they'd like Lazarus and Planet of the Equines. I'm trying to say they like it because it's similar rather than wanting something else.
2547409 Which is a damn shame in my opinion, though I do enjoy writing Lazarus a lot.; I'd like to branch off into another genre while also keeping all of my followers entertained.

Whatevs floats your boat, mane.
2547720 Exactly that's why I said, "Fak it!" and started writing anyways.
