Season 1 is Indigo and Midnight
Season 2 is Light Blue and Noon
Season 3 is Pink and Dawn
Season 4 is Violet and Sunset

What will Season 5 be, I wonder?
I'm crossing my fingers for Purple Dusk, or perhaps even Teal Predawn.
I'm expecting another Blue sky Morning.

I guess we'll have to see.

I try to suppress it, but I'm prone to relapsing into my "Season 1 was best season and nobody can tell me otherwise" mindset. The curse of having come into the fandom prior to The Return Of Harmony, I guess.

2542296 I guess I was trying to describe the sort of feeling each season invokes in me by assigning it a color and time of day.

Season 1 was quiet and understated, laid-back and comforting. Season 2 I associate strongly with Rainbow Dash despite it having some of her worst episodes, and was very busy and bouncy (for better or for worse) in the same way that the middle of the day feels to me. Season 3 was actually mostly a continuation of the mood from S2, but has a more... pink... flavor to it, and Magical Mystery Cure makes me think of dawn for some reason. Season 4 put even season 2 to shame, with explosions and transformations and weird shit happening everywhere, and it only really felt to me like we got a proper breather episode in Filli Vanilli and Maud Pie, and Twilight's Kingdom was like a fiery orb descending, putting a final end to an era of FIM to mark the beginning of a new one.

I want Season 5 to be another simple, quiet one, but with all the setup necessary, I highly doubt that'll be what happens. That doesn't have to be a bad thing, as I know my personal tastes may not necessarily align what is actually good for the show, but I still kinda want a return to the cool midnight I found in the show's beginning.
