It's Raining...in October. · 7:31pm Oct 13th, 2014
Just a bit of a downer day because of the weather. I hate autumn rain. It's cold. It's sad outside. It's like watching the tears of players on a World of Warcraft PvP server from getting camped for twenty-four hours. It's that depressing...
Anyways, progress is continuing on a prequel of sorts to 'When the Sun Comes'. I've got it tentatively titled 'Through the Eyes of the Sun', a story an alicorn tells to a little girl in the form of a bedtime story. There's actually going to be a couple of things in this five chapter short to focus on:
1. —How Celestia and Luna were aware of the human world for a long time. Celestia actually spent a lot of time dealing with her loneliness watching humanity through a sphere Starswirl the Bearded crafted...it was a complete accident as one of his experiments created a one-way rift in the folds of dimensional space.
2. —Expect some hints at how humans have coped in their newfound home as they still struggle to adapt three generations later. Things are better, but there are grumblings for a human nation away from the watchful eyes of Equestria.
3. —I did a bit of forshadowing for a story I hope to follow up with, depending on how this one goes. There's also another story on what's happening back on the scarred homeworld of the humans. The ponies have been monitoring it carefully, as they hope to return it to the humans once it's considered habitable.
That's all I've got for now...except one more little tidbit...humans born on Equus are capable of magic to some degree.
It's raining where I live too.
But that's okay, I like the rain!
