By now you've probably noticed it's been some time since the last update. Well, there's a reason for that.
About two weeks ago, my landlord called me up and told me that my roommate was moving out, leaving me no time to find a new one. So began the task of finding a place cheap enough to afford on my own, which is no easy task on a minimum wage salary with hours dependent on the season. I did manage to find a place however, and so the past couple of weeks have been dedicated to moving stuff to the new place. All of the busywork of moving (for what is the 13th time in 24.9 years by my reckoning, so you can understand how much it stresses me out) coupled with the frustration of spending my entire savings on the safety deposit+first month's rent and having to sell my second car really put me behind schedule on writing, so that's a huge part of the reason behind the delay. Another smaller thing that killed some of my motivation is the lack of progress on one artist I have commissioned (if you're reading this, don't take that the wrong way), and no response from a second artist I have commissioned after requesting a status update a month after seeing the finished flat colors. To a lesser extent, a piece of gift art, but the artist's under no obligation to finish that.
So that's what's been going on in the life of Tofu. That said, I'm finishing up moving today, and I should have everything set and ready to go by tonight. Assuming the ISP activated my service like they said they would, I should be able to start unwinding and jump back into it this weekend. In the meantime, enjoy some art I managed to score while waiting for my commissions!

Life's decided to swing around and give you a what for lately, here's to hoping things get better.
While looking at some of your art I realize that there's a lot left of your story that I don't know about. I'm fascinated to see who some of these characters are. The mare with the spring or tornado cutie mark is real cute, but she's not Solara... and I was kind of hoping to see Solara again.
Back on the topic of you, has other aspects of your life decided to cool down a well? Or is it swinging curve balls at you left and right still? :/

Eh? Who? I can't recall a cutie mark quite like that, and I'm usually pretty good about naming ponies in my descriptions.
It's calmed down a little bit, but it's going to be pretty rocky for a while yet until things settle back into normal.

Towards the very end of the story, but she does make early appearances through a storytelling device yet to show up in the rewrite. First one happens at the end of chapter 3, so in the rewrite it'll probably be showing up two updates from now.
Solara shows up later as well, else I wouldn't have included her in the cover.
