I still haven't watched Justice League: War, though I remember reactions being rather mixed. That being said, I have read Throne of Atlantis. Though the idea was extremely intriguing, the writing bungled it up for me. So seeing the same basic plot being rewritten by people who clearly willing to make large changes is great in my opinion. Particularly because it looks like Ocean Master will be more threatening. This is also the first Aquaman project we've gotten outside of the comics since 2003, and that was a parody series. So, overall, I'm excited about this. What do you guys think?

It looks...okay.
From my experience, the recent croup of DC Animated films has been very, VERY cynical, and they've lacked the genuine humor and whit (not to mention optimism) that defined the earlier works (like the DC Animated Universe or Teen Titans)
I mean, it doesn't look like it'll be as bad as say, Flashpoint Paradox, Justice League: War or Assault on Arkham, but it doesn't look like the next Under the Red Hood either.

2499707 I don't have enough information yet to make a full judgement. But if they can sell the original point of the story, which was to give Ocean Master a good origin and put Aquaman and Atlantis at the center of an important Justice League adventure, better than Geoff Jones' comic book was able to, I'll be happy.
