... Yeah... I really don't know what to say... Basically, I thought it was the worst best movie ever.
Life doesn't make sense either so shut up.
I'm going to hold my breath and say that I thought some aspects weren't as good as the first film, but overall, I have to say I liked it!
Though it fell on the high school musical theme (oh the puns), and the villans seemed hollow, and the biggest point, the fact it was really rushed, I do believe Sunset Shimmer lifted this whole film up by a mile. She is now my third best pony. Or best human. I don't really know.
Let's start from the beginning.
We open up with a green-like mist the sort of resembles bad smells in cartoons, before panning over to three hooded girls (it's mlp, it's not going to be boys) singing in a strange manner. It there establishes to older viewers that these three resemble sirens, things that feed off of anger and hate by their voices. I don't think they could've picked a better type of villain, but the performances just feel... Hollow. Sure they all establish personalities, but it doesn't really fit, if I'm honest. It just sort of feels forced, and not really worth the crown of the best villain in mlp (which is Discord, reformed or not, he's still my waifu:3) .
Then we see this scene overlapping with the first EQG, with the 'taste the rainbow' thing with Sunset shimmer. One of the sirens, named Adagio Dazzle, senses this and then tells this to the other two, Sonata Dusk and Aria Blaze. They all realise this is Equestrian magic, which is much more powerful than normal hatred. And so they set out to find this magic.
CUE TITLE SEQUENCE!
Now the rest of the film seems very rushed. I think Sunset Shimmer is displayed perfectly, not to mention all the cameos that kept us bronies going, but over all, I'd say this was quite average. The only reason people are fussing over it so much is the fact it is A LOT better than the first one. It's worth watching, but it's not amazing.
ERMEGHD THAT ENDING THOUGH CUE INCEPTION MUSIC.
I'm still waiting to see it. Don't ruin too much for me.

2500984 I don't really have a choice to see it at the moment. My parents don't have money to take me, they'd absolutely object them seeing it, and I can't take myself.
I'm going to wait for someone to put it on YouTube. That's how I saw the first one last year in November or something.
