Have you ever read The Chase? It's a wonderful story that by itself is great, but stands out for having a absolutely fast update rate. It's a story I love and last night while tired and feeling good, decided to write a cute little crossover of it with the Changeling Doll. One talk with Kudzuhaiku later and I was encouraged to post it.

Ehh...I tried to read it, but I couldn't get very far into it (The Chase, that is). The writing was fine, and I really enjoyed the concept, but a lot of the cultural conflicts that take center stage at the beginning of the fic wouldn't exist anymore after over a thousand years of coexistence. Splits would be based on geographic location rather than tribe.
It really just killed my suspension of disbelief and my ability to immerse myself in the story.
