Fic Reccomendation and Some Updates, plus Introducing Abstract Notion! · 11:40pm Sep 25th, 2014
First, read Horse Voice's The Writing On The Wall. Not only is it good horror, but it's also very much not your standard horror story. I really can't talk too much about it for fear of spoilers (trust me, spoilers are tantamount to sin where this level of fic is concerned) but trust me when I say it's worth reading.
Second, as I said before, I am back into Ponies, which is good, (and to those who commented on the aforementioned blog posts, I'll reply soon!) but I still seriously have a fair amount of homework to focus on. (Admittedly reading instead of writing may not have been the best use of my free time, but still) I'll try to get back up to speed with TAS and OR and the rest when I have the chance, but I still have bigger priorities to focus on.
The good news: I have a plan to finish up this round of homework fairly quickly.
The bad news: I'm already a day and a half behind schedule, and I only started three days ago.
The good news: If I can get back on track and keep on it, then I should be finished in late October. (24th, to be exact)
The bad news: Once I finish those up, I'll have two more classes to finish by the end of November.
The good news: Those classes are generally less intensive and time-consuming.
The bad news: I'll still have only a month to finish them.
The good news: But if I do finish them, then I am home free! ...until January, at least, at which point I will (hopefully) be attending college.
Still, I am not completely without free time, and I'll try to work on my stories then. Goodness knows you've been waiting long enough...
The bad news: Part of the reason TAS has been delayed for so long is because of writer's block on a certain scene that I'm not even sure is necessary in the long run. Like, it literally has a fifty-fifty chance of being important, for reasons it would be difficult to explain here. I really need to dig up my old outlines...
The good news: OR is going fairly well; I just need to actually look at it.
And Third: I don't know if any of you remember Wintergreen Pines? An old OC I made back in the days of 2012... I was looking through my blog posts and couldn't find her. Anyway, she was supposed to be a self-OC like all the analyst people and cool kids have, but she ended up becoming a distinctly not-me entity, and a bit of a flat one at that. Today, I came up with an actual self-OC, by the name of "Abstract Notion:"
Ponycode: 3X3W00000023AF7800491B03501B300B2UN183700020000091007726AF009309107F3FCC004CB2 (I still prefer the old pony maker, thus this goes to that one)
I probably won't do much with her unless I can buy a video program and start making pretentious analysis videos instead of pretentious blog posts, but I might use her for a Creator Cameo here and there; Idunno. As for Wintergreen, she is now Abstract's waifu.
