All the Stuff I'm Doing (and yes, that includes writing) · 5:08am Sep 25th, 2014
Well, I'm mostly doing schoolwork, but let's not talk about that.
First of all, you might have noticed that I wrote a story a few days ago. To those of you who are now watching me because you liked that story, hello, and thanks. To those of you who haven't read it yet...Well, I honestly don't care if you read it or not, but apparently people like it, so you might like it too.
Second, because I'm trying to be a bit more serious about writing now (and by that I mean "I'm going to try to actually do it"), I created a Twitter account where I will post how many words I write each day (or if I do some other creative thing that doesn't isn't writing, that will get mentioned too). The first tweet will go out tonight (spoiler: I wrote a few hundred words). So now you'll be able to see just how much writing I'm doing and how much progress I'm making. And you'll also get an idea of how slowly I write. It's kind of embarrassing, actually. So go ahead and follow me there, and then call me out when you see me post "0 words" for five straight days (hopefully that won't actually happen, but we'll see).
Third, some friends and I are playing a game of Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic Folder where we will be writing fics for the ships we create. Yes, this is crazy. Yes, it should also be fun. No, we don't have any shame. And yes, this is probably what most of my writing will be for the next several months. So if you're a fan of ridiculous shipping and want to see what horrors we create (or if you want to follow along for any other reason), you can either follow me (which you're probably already doing) and my partners in crime, or just join this convenient group I made where we'll post all of the stories.
I finished my first shipfic earlier today (spoiler: It's a Twilight/Iron Will fic. Crazy, no?), so that should be going up in the next day or two, or possibly sometime next week if I decide to post all three of the fics I'm writing for my first turn at once. I still haven't decided yet.
Fourth, apparently there's some sort of human-ponies movie coming out this weekend. And it seems that I've somehow arranged to see it on opening day. So I'll probably put a big rant about it up here in a few days. Unless the movie is unexpectedly good. Then I'll be extensively singing it's praises here. So you can look forward to one of those.
And I'm still trying to decide if I should bring my Sunset Shimmer plushie with me or not.
And fifth...I don't think there was a fifth thing. You guys are awesome.

Sometimes I like to compare how much we're writing, but then I realize that you almost always write more than me. I think I've out-written you one day since I started the twitter.

Well, you haven't been going at it for very long. Twitter keeps a handy count of all your posts, and since I post everyday I know that I've been trying to keep up this habit for at least 25 days in a row. You've hit 5 days! Congrats!
I'm sure you'll get ahead of me when I sink into despair and tweet "0 words" for a few days in a row. I'm curious how long we'll keep this up. This should be fun! :3
And hey, you're actually publishing stuff! I'm terrified of ever eventually hitting the "publish" button, but I'll do it someday when I feel that the stories I'm working on are done.
