I had a dream and I decided to write a poem about it, what

A sliver of agony, a seed that grows as the
Sun sets and the stars burn out a million years before
you see it die.
A silent hunger gone unanswered and the missed chance,
the broken promise, the friendship torn and
broken and stomped into nihilism.
sound or silence, the difference frayed eternally.
don't regret the death of adventure
the pain you brought with you is a souvenir
to forget is to murder your last, best hope
your guardian angel wouldn't want you to cry
for a distance matched only by the mistake
of not being able to say goodbye.

You think that's a sad dream? Imagine dreaming you lived your entire life unable to control anything you did, and watching yourself make horrible choices. Now imagine dreaming that almost every night and having to go through every bad outcome your life could possibly end up with.
I had to suffer through that for a MONTH.
