I swear, if I close this window one more time....
Sorry about that. Having "technical difficulties" targeting the mouse accurately over here.
Just wanted to give a brief update.
The next chapter of Pinkamena's Tribulation is, well...it's going to be delayed. Probably a month, maybe a bit longer. This means instead of a new chapter in early October, it probably won't drop until mid-November. I'll try to adhere to a tick-tock strategy from here on out, at least, until that doesn't make sense anymore: One chapter focusing on Pinkie followed by one chapter focusing on the rest of the M6/Lyra, rinse and repeat. I can't promise I'll always hold to this, but I'll do my best to keep things more balanced than they've been.
As for the delay, there are numerous reasons for this, most of them work. Non-work related reasons include:
--Spending a bit of time reading a certain 640k word crossover fic (I can't link to it due to rating, but you know which one).
--Spending some time re-editing chapters 2 and 3 of Pinkamena (just for quality, I won't be changing any plot-relevant details)
--Starting up a new fic (wait, what?)
I'll expand a bit on that third point. I've tried several times over the past four months to start up a new fic, with little success. Really, I only have time for one, but...I need to branch out, grow a bit. And so of the many, many ideas I've got cooking on the back burner, I've moved forward with one -- "Every Other Thursday". It'll be a relatively short (probably ~6000 words) little FlutterMac fic. Kind of like PT, it's not actually the kind of fic I'd generally seek out. Unlike PT, nothing dark and gritty to be found here, though hopefully at least a few feels. Regardless, the idea struck me, and so I shall write it. It's set sometime after mid-S4, but I don't know if TK will make any impact or appearance here. I'm hoping to have a first draft ready to go by early-to-mid October, so if it sounds like the type of thing you might be interested in editing or pre-reading for, please don't hesitate to give me a holler, and I'll shoot you a PM when it's ready.
Other than that, next week I'm out of town for work again, so my time may be more limited than usual between now and mid-October.
