Hey! I like Derpy. And butts. And Derpy's butt. Other butts are cool too, though. ~TOOWC

    Endings and Beginnings.

So, as I'm sure most of you know- Candy is over. The story is done, and... that's it. There's a sequel/reboot in progress, titled 'From Their Hearts', and I'm already working on the first chapter with Patric.

There's no cover art or description yet- as we've just started today- but expect something to be up before the week is out.

    Oops.

    Shit, it's been a while.
I'm sorry about that. A lot's gone on.
Should I continue Black of Dog, or Candy first?
    Also, tomorrow's my birthday.
See all of ya soon in another chapter on... something.

    Well...

    Candy just got featured!
I'm not gonna put anything in the description of the story, because honestly that'd make me feel like an asshole.
Thank you so much, all of you! It means a lot to me to know you guys and gals like my story that much.

    Commisions...?

Would anyone be interested? I don't know what my prices would be- maybe like $5-7 per 1k words- or what the limits would be, but... I could try my hand at it, if any of you would like to commission me for something.

    I've made a Patreon.

Subject of this blog... is the title.

Check it if you feel like it... I can't make you, and I'd never want to make you.

See you all soon in the next chapter of Candy. Feel free to ask questions here in the comments, on anything.

Man, my first story!
Before anything else, I need to say something!
To all of you who favorited Candy:
Thank you so very, very much!
I really can't say it enough, thank you! There's so many of you that won't see this, and I'm so sorry, I just don't have the kind of time to thank all 100+ of you, what with school and all.
Secondly, we made it to the popular box!
Now, I won't be putting that in the description, nor will I if we somehow make it to the Featured box, because I feel like that's just stupid.
Thirdly, go check out these guys(Vinyl_Wubs, and Patric12345) they were a GIGANTIC help in writing this!
Finally, chapter two should come out around friday, and if it doesn't I'll make sure it comes out on Monday. There will be a lot of re-working done on the second chapter, and I might go through chapter one and fix it, too.
One last time, THANK YOU, everyone who favorited, commented on, liked, or even disliked Candy!
Be seeing you all soon,
~ TOOWC

I'm going to be completely honest here and say that I haven't read 'Candy'. One of my friends read is, and said that it was too faced paced, characters were OOC, and other issues. Although that cover art is fucking perfect!

If you spent extra time fleshing things out by having someone critique it BEFORE you published, then I'm confident it would have gotten featured, and I tell you that from experience.

One story I found was written like a troll fic, but when I read it I was like "Oh I can make this so much better" so I messaged the author and asked if I could rewrite it to my style. Published it, went to bed, woke up, BOOM featured, and I had 180 notifications. That would be my story 'A Nightmare Come To LIfe'.

Then one of my other stories, 'Lunar Domination', I wrote it in mind as a clopfic with Luna (duh), and that too got featured overnight.

The thing is, when you publish stories, after a period of about 8-12 hours, there's no chance of it getting featured. The features box uses an algorithim that takes into account favs, likes, and dislikes etc within a certain period of time. Basically, the more popular it gets within a smaller amount of time the higher the chance it has of getting featured.

2476731 Since you were completely honest, let me return the favor:
It's absolutely okay that you didn't read it, I know it wasn't that good, heck, I wrote it!
Also, I'm amazed that it got the attention it did! I expected maybe five people to read it- maybe six. The fact that it's gotten so far as to the popular box astounds me.
And lastly, a question: I'm stuck between two choices. Should I edit chapter one, and therefore delay chapter two, or should I make sure chapter two is good, and work chapter one is good after?
I only ask because you are another author.

You'd probably be better off fixing chapter one like you should have done to begin with. Any first time publishers/authors NEED someone to go over their work to flush out any mistakes and so on. That much is a given, it should happen regardless.

If you spend more time fixing mistakes, the quality would have gone up. Like I said previously, if you had done that to begin with I almost guarantee you'd've gotten featured. With cover art as sexy as that, it helps too.

To conclude: Edit chapter one, or find someone that will. You're not going to catch all of your own mistakes by yourself, it's a matter of fresh perspective. Delay chapter two, and when you're done with Ch1, proofread Ch2, too

Above all, quality above quantity.
