The Doctor smiled, turning to face the mares.
“I choose my companions wisely, and you fit the bill perfectly! Isn’t that reason enough?”
The Time Pony bounded toward the staircase, still grinning madly. “Well then? You’ve got all of time and space to choose from…”

Several armed ponies escorted the Doctor, Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Rarity into a futuristic city.
Two of them turned, raising their eyebrows at the inquisitive Time Lord, then gestured to the right of the city.
The sun began to set, the beams of light hitting the edge of the domed force-field, causing a rainbow to explode in the air, encapsulating the entire city.
“Welcome to Rainbow Island.”

A tan mare leapt through the air, tackling an ashen Changeling and wrestling it away. Her golden mane was tied up neatly which matched her forest green camouflage clothes. Her flank was punctuated by a Silver Sphere colored in a rainbow spectrum inwardly.
“That’s impossible…” the Doctor muttered.
Applejack turned, her expression confused.
“Doctor, ya know her?”
The Doctor managed a sheepish expression, not removing his eyes from the mare.
“Well, she’s…”
The mare fought off the Changeling which flew off in a panic. She turned and gave the Doctor a brilliant grin.
“She’s...”
“Doctor…” Applejack muttered.
“She’s my daughter.”
“Hello, father!”

The TARDIS was shrouded in darkness. The engines were dead, the Time Rotor invalid. Applejack and Pinkie lay unconscious on the side, their breathing shallow.
The Doctor sat up with a gasp, his lungs burning and his mind splintering and shattering.
“Whatever you are, you better hope this kills me! Otherwise, YOU’LL REGRET IT!”

Twilight chases the Doctor through a Canterlot street. The ponies were dressed strangely old-fashioned, reminding her of her mother’s old vinyl albums.
“Doctor, wait!” Twilight shouted, chasing down the elusive Time Lord.
The Doctor veered around a corner and Twilight followed suit.
She slammed into the Time Pony’s back, falling on her butt and blinking stars from her vision. Scowling, she looked up to see why the Doctor stopped so suddenly.
“Doctor, why did you…”
Her white coat and lavender mane with alabaster streaks running through it was instantly familiar.
The Mare was only in her twenties but her eyes spoke of an older wisdom.
In her magical grip she carried a dozen or so books which matched her thick black glasses over her face as she smiled apologetically.
“I’m so sorry,” she said, stretching a hoof to help Twilight. “I didn’t see you there…”
“No!” the Doctor said, pushing the Mare’s hoof away from Twilight. “Er, apologies! My friend has, ah, allergies.”
“No, I don’t…”
…
Rainbow Dash squints as she leans in closer to a strange stone statue of a pegasus.
“What’s a statue doing on a ship?” she mutters, reaching her hoof out to touch it…

The Doctor steps out of the TARDIS where a brown checkered coat with a large deerstalker hat over his head, grinning at Twilight and Pinkie both of whom were wearing billowy dresses that matched their respective color schemes.
“Well? How do I look!”
“Ooh, ooh, I know! Like a hobo!”
“Doctor, what are you wearing?”

The Doctor glares at a silver being shrouded in the dark. He raises his sonic screwdriver at it.
“If you really think it’ll be that easy, then you don’t have a clue as to who I am and what I do! This planet is defended!”
…Twilight drags a battered, groaning Doctor into the TARDIS.
“Doctor, what do I do?” she asks, blinking tears from her eyes.
The Doctor raises a hoof… as it glows. Gasping, the Doctor steps up and backs up from Twilight.
“Too soon,” he curses. “Too soon! Not enough time to…”
“Doctor, you’re going to be okay. I’ll go to the sick bay and—“
“It’s too late,” he says. “I’m regenerating… Twilight Sparkle… I’m sorry!”
…Twilight Sparkle walks through a desolate hallway, nervously clutching the Doctor’s sonic screwdriver.
“What do you want!” she demands, her voice dissipating in the corridor.
“… Silence.”
…
The Doctor grins at the girls broadly, stretching out his forelegs to them, offering them the entirety of time and space.
