I punched through the wall, saw the creeper, paused the game dropped the controller and left the house. I am now walking to the gas station for peanut butter cups.

2471039 The creepers actually aren't that bad, to be honest. Aside from the one Badass Creeper that spawns at the end of the group, they have pretty low HP. Plus, the Badass always drops a Minecraft-themed head when you kill it!
The Longbow isn't guaranteed, but it's still pretty fun if you do get one. And that's not even my favorite gun in the game. There's a long quest involving a 'cursed gun' you'll get later on; that gun (the reward) is freaking glorious.

Ah, I remember finding that. It actually has a chance to drop two ideams, both of which are pretty good: The Longbow (super powerful sniper rifle) and the Blockhead (powerful Tediore shotgun).

I remember going back there everytime i played with my friend to try and drop the shotgun for me and the sniper for my pal, both of them are quite powerfull, and as long as you are carefull they are not that hard to kill, just keep your distance from the last one.
Extra tip, going to the top of the building on the middle lets you pretty much watch them explode while not getting too hurt yourself, just don't do it for the last one!
Im surprised you missed the first clue there, now itll be a huge PITA to go back for it.
Also, those guys drop a nasty orange Sniper rifle (shoots slow minecraft style arrorws) and a orange shotgun (shoots a 3x3 pattern of minecraft blocks)..the sniper was really good for me for at least a half playthrough.
My favorite references are still the two Dark Souls references.

I stumbled upon this easter egg without evening know about it. I literally pissed myself when a creeper came out of no-where. All my mother and my sister could hear was me screaming.
