This would be all fine and dandy... except my favorite writer isn't on the list. And I know the revelation of this mystery person is going to shock and amaze everyone who reads this...
Merriweather Williams.
I don't see why people have such a problem with her. Every episode she's done, with the exception of Spike at Your Service, I've enjoyed. So why are they leaving her off the season 5 writer's list?
Then again, this is Megan McCarthy we're talking about here, so I'm not sure how much stock I should put into this.

Hmmn put as much faith in it as you wish. It's not my place to judge, as there are only 2 episodes across the entire series I can't watch.
I think most of the MW dislike comes from Mare Do Well.
To her credit, she gave us the MDW character, as well as Flutterbat, Windigoes, Iron Will, and Crackle.

Maybe she's working on something else. M. A. Larson took off for all of Season Four, and is back in the fold for Season Five.

but... MMDW is one of my favorite MLP episodes. Granted, the moral was kind of shit, but it was a fun episode regardless.
