Well, it's been a while since I've posted much of anything on here (When was I supposed to have that Sonic Boom update out?). I feel like I owe an explanation, but to be honest, there's not really one single thing I can give that would explain it all.
Lots of things going on lately.
Completing school. I'm taking my Capstone course for my B.S. in Computer Science this semester (Software Engineering, it's a class I'm enjoying right now!) so most of my focus is going into that.
Voice acting. Starting to get into more serious and elaborate roles, both narrator and non-narrator. I'm currently the narrator for the Anthropology audioplay that NightFall Studios is running, and one of the narrators for the CRISIS: Equestria audioplay that's being run by BogyleBronies. I've met a lot of people in these groups that have really opened the doors for me to meet other people in the voice acting community, and become great friends with.
Birthday. 21st birthday is coming up on the 4th of October, I'm planning on doing a birthday stream that weekend like I've done the past two years. This time, turning it into a drinking game that I will participate in: I'll be streaming myself playing Five Nights at Freddy's, where I have to take a shot every time I die. Not sure what it will be yet, but I'm both excited and terrified at the same time.
Couple all that with a complete lack of drive for writing since I've been doing essays for philosophy class, and you have a recipe for "I don't really feel like it..." HOWEVER.
I do have at least some things written down.
Sonic Boom's update is already halfway written already, it's just a matter of hammering the rest of that out.
Alone's ending is on hiatus until I can find the drive to finish that story. The reaction to the current ending left a bad taste in my mouth, and I do feel bad for doing that to you, but it had to happen as per the requester's wishes. I'll be coming back for a sort-of "epilogue" ending for that eventually.
Lost in Translation's update is partly written; I'd tried getting it ready for AiE's #1000th thread anniversary but I got stumped at a certain point and just couldn't continue. I'll figure it out eventually.
Can't Stop the Rock is still something I'm debating whether or not I should invest time to working on; you can read the first chapter on my Pastebin to see if it would interest you and let me know in the comments.
The big thing, though, is something I've had on the backburners for over a year now: Brave New Equestria.
For those who don't already know, "Brave New Equestria" was a brief rewrite of my "Dystopian Anon" series on my Pastebin for Fimfiction, but was put on the backburners so I could focus on my then-current stories. Now, I've been getting a whole SLEW of ideas for it and, since it's already written all the way to the end, I have the freedom to expand the original story to include all these ideas.
So if you've read "Dystopian Anon" and found it to be a bit rushed, don't worry. There'll be plenty of meat in "Brave New Equestria". That, my friends, is something you can look forward to. Speaking of which, go read that story right now, if you have the chance. I have a feeling it'll rope you right in.
And so that's the big mid-September update that nobody was expecting from me. I need sleep.
