Now, I know I'm not done with the current chapter but I just realized something for what comes next "Magic Duel", the return of Trixie
In my fic, I wrote Midnight and Twilight overcoming Trixie together and when she started to leave in defeat, Midnight offered her some kind advice and she left on good terms.
I feel if I have Trixie return using the Alicorn Amulet it would be... I dunno, it just doesn't seem right to bring her back as an antagonist after she left with a lesson on being a better person
I can see what you mean. She did leave better off and not hell bent on revenge. However, that's not to say that maybe someone else wants twilight to lose a duel. And to accomplish this they forcefully make Trixie wear the amulet, which then corrupts her thoughts. So the chapter(s) become more about saving Trixie than trying to teach her a lesson. Just a thought.

By the way, you might want to consider which upcoming event finally earns Midnight his Cutie Mark. Several good opportunities have already passed by, but I think saving Trixie from the Alicorn Amulet and defeating the real antagonist might just be mark-worthy...
