    Well, color me impressed.

All 78 episodes on 2 discs, the translation is just as solid as the Hulu version, the subtitles are on by default, and they even translated the mid-episode character cards.

Well, because there was no TYT this week...

Here's an absolutely adorable tutorial on how to hug your pony from doubleWbrothers.

So I've been busy away from ponies... Again...

With my quest/race to get a Rainbow S on all of Freedom Planet 2's stages, my creativity lit up like a bonfire again, and I started crafting an alternate ending of sorts for the past week.

That story is now complete, and posted in its entirety over on AO3.

Destiny: Day 3 · 11:57am Sep 12th, 2014

My Warlock is now Level 18, and I have completed the "story".

The final boss actually got my adrenaline pumping a little bit, in no small part due to Marty's music. Too bad that wasn't there the rest of the time.

That being said, the story was absolutely and utterly pathetic. Yes, I am being very harsh because this was the developer that crafted one of the greatest science fiction franchises in the world. Every single bit of lore is in the form of "Grimoire Cards" that can only be accessed on Bungie.net once you unlock them in the game. They didn't even bother with an in-game lore section, like the Codex from Mass Effect. Nope, you have to go to Bnet and make an account if you want any clue as to what the hell is happening.

To quote an in-progress critic review:

If I want to read a wikia, I'll play Minecraft.

Minecraft Xbox One version is very fun, btw. The Miles Fortress of Doom(TM) is coming along nicely.

The music? Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Marty, your music never once disappointed, and I truly hope you find your way back to Halo.

The Escapist put it best in their review, where they gave it a 6 / 10.

"Gameplay is a cocktail of ideas taken from other titles that specialized to create superior experiences. Borderlands is much better at providing loot and a sense of character progression, Halo is better at providing a sci-fi shooter adventure, and there are plenty of MMOs that do the "shared world" thing with more gusto. Destiny exists in the shadow of multiple games, taking a little from each, and doing nothing truly remarkable with any of it."

That's it in a nutshell.

Not sure if I'm done. There's a Strike on Mars left, but I just heard that Borderlands 2 is 75% off for a few days, and I know that's a better time sink than this is.

Bungie, you have the spotlight now, but it will fade. This is not your second Halo. When this is what our initial $60 got us, only the most devoted to the Seventh Column will stick with this once Halo and CoD come knocking in November.

I believe I'm a Level 3 Warlock, as I reached Level 20 with my Titan and wanted to experience the other classes. It wasn't what I was expecting, that's for sure, but I'm not disappointed. I mean sure, I'll probably be playing Halo: The Master Chief Collection for awhile, and enjoying every second of playing Halo 3 with 60 frames per second and 1080p, but that doesn't mean I won't come back to this. Maybe you just have a different perspective about Destiny, as I do.

[DISAPPOINTMENT NOISES]

On an entirely related note, I think Bungie tried to make kind of a "hardcore game but for casual players", even though it was still hard for casual players.

Which only succeeded for Dark Souls II.

i enjoy destiny to an extent. when i bought it i figured that i was going to have a nice game that even though my internet is completely crap that i would still have campaign..imagine my surprise when i have to have internet to even start the damn game. thankfully i can play a good bit with my connection before im bounced back to the destination screen. i enjoy y level 20 hunter tho. really wish i could find the armor types that raise my level above 20..
