A brief look at the male changeling monarch · 10:16pm Sep 4th, 2014
As the title suggests, this is my take on a male counter-point to the Changeling Queen. This only really applies to And Then There Were 10...Er...67.
-Taller than queen
-horn is not crooked but rather long and razor sharp
-lower jaws have pincher-like tusks, possibly venomous
-retractable spikes/blades on back hooves
-exoskeleton is thicker, more jagged
-has scorpion like stringer, used for reproduction and attack
-Kings are independent from hive, usually only appear in a hive to mate with queen. Hives with a permanent king have advantage over hive with just a queen. queens will do everything in their power to impress a king and convince a king to mate with her.
-kings judge queens based on their magical power, size of their hive and overall health of their hive. if a king is taken enough with a queen, he will move into her hive as a permanent mate
