    Awesome fanfiction

Yesterday, I read an amazing fanfiction about Sonata Dusk. I almost cried. It takes a lot to get me to that state.

For that reason, I think you all should give it a shot. Finding her voice

    Q&A: The Answers

    GeodesicDragon

    I only have one question.
    Why are you copying me?

This was really a test to see how many people asked me questions. I am disappointed in the response.

A New Home III turns One Year Old.... · 8:51pm Sep 1st, 2014

A little more than a year ago, I think like mid-July, I gave Jason (APoeticHeart) an idea that came to mind. To launch Toby in the Equestria Girls world. I wanted to see how he would react with all these multi-colored humans, whom he hadn't been living with for two years. Well, not humans with weird skin conditions, but you get my point.

Never did I think I would have a hand in helping bring this idea to life. Not only did Jason like it, which shocked me, despite knowing he was a great guy by now, I didn't think he would take an idea like that; but he also welcomed my idea of writing for the story, which left me with an array of emotions: shock, fear, and excitement, to name a few.

I had never written a serious story in my life. All I knew how to write was shitty comedy, including dick jokes. That was the extent of my literary skills, and it didn't get me anywhere. Not that I was complaining, because writing dick jokes is incredibly fun.

A New Home had inspired me so much, though, that I wanted to contribute beyond my fanfiction readings. I figured it was worth a chance to ask Jason if I could write for this genius idea. And yes it was/is a genius idea I will feed my ego and will not be stopped.

Only more than a month later, on September 1st, 2013, my idea was officially born, as A New Home III: he Quest for The Lost Locket cried his first cry, and was slapped on the bum by Dr. Anderson.

Jason's first chapter was wonderful, and was able to give me the strength to write MY first chapter, which was chapter 2. I then realized how fun it was to trade in my dick jokes for sweet moments with a young boy. Writing that chapter was way easier than I thought it would be. I felt like I was MEANT to write for this series.

Only 8 days later, I had written what I still to this call in my opinion, my greatest piece of writing EVER. Chapter 4: "Hope." The longest chapter in A New Home. I will always hold that chapter in the highest regard, for many reasons.

I didn't even make it to the end of A New Home III, but I had a project to maintain, and I'm proud to announce I'm still having an enormous amount of fun with that.

But the best part of the whole experience...wasn't even writing for the damn thing. It was all the great people I made, including three incredible friends who I still converse with every day. They know who they are, and I thank them for putting up with all my shit.

I also thank all the other A New Home fans that gave me a chance. I know for a fact some were not looking forward to an "outsider" (even though I read the damn series with a passion) tampering with something that didn't need tampered with. I take pride in the fact that I was able to make the majority of you appreciate my writing.

I also thank you all for enjoying A New Show to the very end. To this day people still clamor for the return of it. Maybe some day, but for now I'm happy with working on the EWF, and nothing else. A New Home was my pet project, a different breed of comedy that I tried my hand at writing, which would be slapstick comedy. There weren't really any dick jokes. Maybe one. I can't remember.

The fact is, it was incredibly well received, and I am very glad for that. If you couldn't tell, I love making people laugh. Some would say I try too hard to accomplish this at times, but A New Show was a well mix of comedy and serious, and I guess it has a cult following now, which is wonderful.

Finally, my biggest thanks goes to you, Jason, for allowing me the platform to express myself through literature. I will always be grateful for your kindness, to give that kind of power to some random dude. You had so much faith in me, and I will always appreciate that. You pushed me to be the best that I can be, and I know I did you proud.

Thank you for allowing me to inject my own humor into your series. A New Show had nothing to do with A New Home besides interviewing the characters based on previous events. You still had no problem with this. You could've lost readers over that, and maybe you did, but you took a risk and a lot of people had fun. That's what matters.

All in all, writing for A New Home III is one of the greatest achievements of my life up to this point, and also one of the funnest. It was DEFINITELY my funnest time since becoming a Brony, and I owe it all to you, the fans who made it so fun. I love you guys, and if you ever need anything, just let me know.

Once again, thank you for the countless support throughout all of this. This is fred2266 (yes I changed my username again just to make this blog post mean more) signing off. I'll see you all when A New Home IV makes it rounds, or when any of you decide to swallow your sanity and talk to me again.

Until then, so long...and thanks for all the fish.

Great blog my friend, and you're very welcome. Thank you always for the support as well, and for sparking the idea of A New Home III and Toby going to the EQG Universe.
