Creativity, Side-Effects and other such random late night thoughts. · 3:49am Aug 30th, 2014
Howard Taylor is best known as the writer of Schlock Mercenary, but recently has published a short nonfiction piece called No, I'm Fine. It's well worth the read. (so are all of the Schlock webcomics, but you'll be stuck in the archives for days.)
In the Shining Armor/Queen Chrysalis line, we have a very nice story called It's A Pony by Dr. Atlas, who has written quite a few nice changeling fics. Well worth the read.
The EqD Outside Inside Daily Summer Fanfic Contest judging concludes today. I've got an entry in it and I'm all excited to see if I place anywhere this time. Seeds of Future Past is about the history of Equestria, as told by the Tree of Harmony.
And last, I saw this picture on Comics I Don't Understand and I immediately thought "Somebody needs to Ponyfy Celestia/Luna for this. Please?
Yes it does take days to go through the archives. But it also doesn't quite work as a daily strip. I want more than a taste of the over arching story each time.
My late night thought:
Pony toilets would look like a squat toilet.
Agreed on that comic. :D
Now that I've finally pushed my half-rational dislike of podcasts to the side enough to start listening to Writing Excuses I really need to read Schlock Mercenary; it would make Howard's examples in the podcast clearer.
And yeah, I quite liked the short story
More Schlock fans?
Woah. I'm glad you linked "No. I'm fine." That is some amazing stuff
