    Merry Christmas, all!

My track record with Christmas releases is no longer perfect, but I do try! Only one 5k chapter of Sharing the Nation this year, though I'm hoping to have 5k more out before the new year. To make up for it, though, I've also brought out the Harry Potter crossover that's been languishing in

    Nothing this year, sorry

Man, this has been… a year. Shortly after my last blog post, I had some (non-covid) medical issues that somewhat took over my life for a while, and while that's all in the past now, I'm only back where I was beforehand—completely unproductive. I was determined to get back into things at NaNoWriMo, but work steamrolled those plans and I just haven't been able to find the words to write something

More burned out than I thought

Jeeze, it's been four months since I decided not to force myself to generate updates for the sake of Patreon and gave myself the freedom to write whatever I wanted… but I haven't really written anything. I've done a thousand words or so here and there to play around with other fandoms, but nothing of significance.

    Shocking, I know.

Tis the season for status updates. Not as much the other kind of updates as I would like, though

It wouldn't be Christmas if I hadn't been completely incommunicado for at least a month or two beforehand, right?

Unfortunately, I don't have chapters of Sharing the Nation to post for Christmas this year. I do have some Equal Opportunity Ascension chapters that only Patreon has seen, and I'll post those, I guess, but it's clear this… isn't working.

    Christmas Updates!

    Merry Christmas!

As I've done every year since I started writing, I have updates here for you on Christmas day.

( It might look like there's a missing one, but the chapter for Sharing the Night that year was taken down and reposted)

Alright, alright, I give up! Take it away from me before I change something else! · 3:05am Aug 21st, 2014

If I had my way, I'd just keep tweaking it until the end of time. Chapter 12 is off to the prereaders in all its ~16,000 word...ness.

I'm actually considering opening this one to a bit of a wider group for prereading, particularly any other authors who'd like to give me their two cents. Any takers?

Oh gawd… why? WHY?

Why don't I have the time?

Le sigh.

I shall just have to wait patiently for it to come out at its regular scheduled time, then find a few hours to read it.

I can do copyediting, if you need that.

If you don't want me pre-reading, I guess I'll be re-reading.

That's too bad, but I understand that a chapter this large is going to take some time, even for my normal prereaders. Only seeing the finished product isn't so bad, though... Sometimes I wish I could do that :rainbowlaugh:

My usual prereaders typically have the proofing and editing covered, I'm just paranoid about this chapter and looking for some additional "professional" opinions on the chapter as a whole.

<------ Normally it wouldn't be a problem, but this thing right there, is taking away all my time. :rainbowlaugh:

That's not a bad thing either, in the long run

For some reason I keep on confusing you with Capn_Chryssalid

That's... not a bad author to be mistaken for :rainbowhuh: :rainbowlaugh:

Yay!
...And I've already got lots of homework this week! No!
Maybe Friday evening...
edit: Actually, now that I think of it, I might still be able to squeeze it in tonight, if it's posted then. I don't know how quickly your prereaders work.

I haven't pre-read anything in a quite a while, pre-reading is forcing yourself to think critically about the text the which is good for the soul, and tomorrow is Friday so I will have time.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind helping out. I don't promise intelligent opinions, only that I'll try.

Gimme Gimme Gimme!

I'd like to help. I'm part of the Proofreader Group and nothing has been passed by me recently, so my proofreading trigger-finger is itching to... er... proofread?
Also, I've reached a roadblock in my own work, so helping someone else sounds fun.
