I Need Some 'Equestrienne Girls' Art · 11:17pm Aug 20th, 2014
Some readers have urged me to actually write Equestrienne Girls, the multigenerational mash-up I described for my own amusement. I have too many open projects already, but I'm seriously considering it. What I wrote there was basically my "dream version" of My Little Pony, except for maybe the excessive violence at the end, which just sort of happened because of my penchant for writing excessive violence.
I don't know if there would actually be a place for Equestrienne Girls on this site or not, since it is only vaguely related to Friendship Is Magic, but on the plus side its depiction of the Mane Six as a group of domesticated horses would probably tick off a lot of hypersensitive Bronies, and that's always fun. In fact, that's a hobby of mine.
One way or t'other, I have extra cash from this field season and am toying around with the idea of looking up somebody who might be interested in producing some "G5" artwork. Maybe a picture of one or more of the Equestrienne Girls, in their fetching English riding clothes, leading their respective ponies by the reins. That right there would be enough to tick off the aforementioned hypersensitive types.
What I'd really, really like, though, would be a picture of Megan and Sundance having a tea party. As a bonus, this would work well as either G1 or "G5" art. I imagine both of them sitting on the grass in a beautiful garden. Megan would perhaps be lifting her cup to her lips and looking at Sundance, who sits across from her.
Megan, of course, would not be wearing the ugly outfit for which she's infamous, but the dress that was her basic outfit in the toyline:

You'll notice that her dress is white and trimmed with pink, which is appropriate, because the whole idea is that she matches her favorite pony, which is of course Sundance:

My vote would be check out devart or fa or various other art sites, find someone who does art you like and then proceed to throw money at them. you'll know best what you like.
Eh, slap an AU tag on it and you'll be good to go.
That being said, I can't help in terms of art. I write for a reason.

I'd love to oblige, but I am swamped with IRL stuff that is already keeping me from a couple of major art projects I technically have on my plate.
I might just do the tea party scene eventually, just for fun, unless somebody else beats me to it. Don't hold me to it though. XD;
I'm actually interested to see how you go about it, more interested than the exploits of Brad. Unfortunately, I'm artistically inept, so I can't help you in that field.
Ironically, I was thinking of doodling some fan art for the piece. I don't even draw.
