I like hanging stuff on cliffs. They dangle so nicely till the next chapter arrives.

So, it kind of surprised me most comments were in favour of Sweet Strokes getting some of that Chip.

In the end, who do you think he'd choose?

Comments ( 6 )

Definitely Twilight.

He seems to be a real good friend of Sweet Strokes, but it seems that her line of work and her personality would prevent much of a strong relationship. That and she might not be able to handle the truth about who he is.

While Twilight on the other hand, already knows, already likes him, and he likes her, and well, she would be able to handle the truth of it.

The way the characters are right now, my prediction is that Sweet will end up liking him a lot, but she'll realize that she can't be with him, and it'll end with a sad pony.

Buuuuuuut on the other hand, should you so choose, you could totally twist this so that it ends up that Chip and Twilight realize they can't be together, and Sweet was "waiting in the wings" for him in the end.

I don't know what you'll do with the story, but I hope that he ends up happy with somepony he loves who loves him back. But if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose Twilight because she understands him better than anypony else.

Seems Chip can totally seperate one thing from another. He can do lots of intresting research with Sweet about Canterlots dark side, underside, and areas normally not talked about, then work with Sweet on relaxing after a long day, or giving her a good long day. With Twilight, he can be extreme research freinds, without having to bother her with the carnal research he is so intrested in, but have the answers there to greatly embarrass her in front of everyone else. :trollestia:

It depends on how much is revealed about Sweet Strokes. I think she'd be a great reoccurring character regardless though. And I think it'd be sweet of him to start caring for her as well.

As for whom to have him care about more though? I'm still internally debating that.

But consider this. For Twilight, it took multiple chapters to get a strong bond.

For Sweet Strokes, one chapter was enough to want to strengthen the bond through continual experiences between the two.

I won't lie- I'm biased in favor of shippin' Twilight, but with how you've established Sweet Strokes, I could imagine Chip and her together.

Regardless, SS is an excellent foil of a love interest; while I could imagine her attempting to woo Chip and succeeding, it's not hard to see her fail and end up becoming an antagonist.

Take it where you will!

Twilight is still the one he actually likes in a romantic sense, so I don't think she has anything to worry about on that front (though, of course, she will. Because it's far more entertaining that way. And because Chip is Chip, so he's going to tell her about what a wonderful evening he spent with Sweet, how good it felt, and all the new things he learned that will make her feel good too. He even practiced them on Sweet all night to make sure he was good at it. And he'll probably tell her in front of a large audience.).

And I really like the friendshipping angle with Chip and Sweet. What she needs from him isn't romance so much as a really good friend, and regardless of how things develop from here on out, I'm looking forward to how you get there.

Without a doubt, I'll choose Twilight as the one I think will be chosen by Chip.

While Sweet Strokes is really liking Chip as he is, I do not think that this one encounter is sufficient for him to suddenly lose interest in the one mare who really lov... likes... him very much. :scootangel:

Sweet Stroke's remembrance, from Chip, of being more than what she is at that time is what really stirred her up. She was given much more, than what I'd guess, that she ever had expected to receive for the rest of her life in this career path of hers. I think it'd be even better to see how his encounter with Sweet Stroke causes her to try and change her own self for the better.
