Fun with Numbers

This is going to be me nerding out for a bit. I feel like having some fun with how my stories are currently doing in terms of Fimfiction's views, comments, likes, and dislikes.

First off: Canterlot's Guests is my baby. I have many fond memories and bitter regrets there. Second, while I enjoyed writing A Different Kind of Research, it's really not my strongest work. It's a cute little piece, but by no means would I use as anything but an example of an extraordinarily short story. And, lastly, all of these numbers are based on the stats as they stand at 6:57 PM UTC-6. They could've changed since then.

So, first, the raw numbers. (I know this "table" looks terrible, but bear with me)

As you can see, Celestia Wants to Date Twilight Sparkle is my most liked fic by number of likes. It's also my most disliked fic by number of dislikes and most commented fic (numbers are skewed because of a thing that happened with A Different Kind of Research that doesn't warrant getting into here, just that it lost a number of comments because Fimfic is silly). And so it continues down the rows, with Canterlot's Guests having the next most likes, dislikes, and comments, then ADKOR, then WAMW.

Now, for some fun with those numbers.
Giving a percentage rating to my fics, we then see ADKOR is the most highly rated, at 96.27%, followed by CG at 95.74%, then CWTDTS at 94.01%, and trailed by WAMW at 85.71%.
However, on a per view basis, CWTDTS reaches the top again, with 0.185 likes per view. Then CG at 0.069 lpv, then ADKOR at 0.056 lpv and finally WAMW at 0.024 lpv.

As can usually be expected, both Canterlot's Guests and A Different Kind of Research got a bit of a bump in their numbers because of the attention from the new story. Possibly the most impressive stat so far, though, is the fact that Celestia Wants to Date Twilight Sparkle has no referral links. All of those numbers are entirely from Fimfiction. Canterlot's Guests had a very significant boost from Equestria Daily, accounting for a few thousand views. And although ADKOR has the best rating, it's also had a long, long time to get there. CWTDTS has managed to get to its rating in a matter of days.

I'd really like to see CWTDTS unseat ADKOR as my best rated fic. Or least have it vastly outpace my previous efforts. We'll see what happens in the coming weeks and months.
