Here's the Deal · 1:10am Aug 18th, 2014
Okay Lads and Lasses it's time for serious talk with Mayhem
It has been almost four months since I have posted any updates for Guardian Angel. I have spent all summer long promising an update yet can't follow through. It is my fault and once again I apologize. Now I did follow through on the last promise that I was going to finish the next update chapter a few weeks ago and I did just that. However, we ran into an issue. One of my editors proposed and suggest very extensive edits and additions to the chapter as it was extremely rough from me being out of the game for so long. Basically what I thought was a completed chapter has changed into a skeleton chapter. Of course I want the best reading experience for you guys so I am going to have to make all these changes.
Of course there is an issue, and as usual it is Real Life getting in the way. I am still in process of applying for pharmacy school (and before anyone asks yes it does take many months of work to get through everything that is involved). I am on the last bit of the application process, but unfortunately it is the most time consuming part of the whole thing, that being the eight essays I have to write. I've been working on all of them for over a month and only just got to editing and getting other to edit for me. Add in the fact that these are due in two weeks and school starts next week and I'm basically struggling. Only thing I've been able to do at all on the site is work for Twilight's Library since we are in the midst of a tedious application process for new staff, though luckily we are almost done.
So what does all this mean? Well here is the deal. I basically can't promise anything for you guys to read until next month after all this application business for school is done and over with. So we are most certainly going to hit the four month mark of this hiatus. I'm happy that nobody has been bugging me about updates. You guys are all very understanding of my predicament, which I appreciate.
So to wrap things up this hiatus is gonna last longer. I'm sorry nothing I can do about that. However, once all this is done and my life sort of returns to normal I, assuming school doesn't have me clinging to the edge, will work my very hardest to get back into the swing of things. I'm gonna be honest I thought I was going to have plenty of time to write and handle paperwork. Clearly I underestimated how time consuming it was going to end up being. Also my fault but we are only human.
Thank you so much for being patient,
-Mayhem
I'm sorry guys I feel like all summer I've been giving excuses
*hugs you* It's okay. It's funny because I have been making a list of skills to learn in classes and a Pharmacy Technician came up, though that was just for the Technician and not the actual pharmacist.. heh. Good luck~

Techs work hard too and still need to know quite a bit. It's kind of a secondary job idea if being a pharmacist doesn't work out
2378455 Eh, any job you seem to need to know a lot and work hard now a days. Kind of no short cuts, I guess that is progress.
All though I talked to a Pharmacist and claims her daughter does it and is successful (is a technician I mean) his words were
"If my daughter can do it, anyone can." Claiming she sucks at using computers. Gives me some hope that I could learn how to do it if it comes to that. I know I am not cut out for low end jobs like an electronic store, that would just depress me
Trust me when I say I don't mind that you do what you have to do, that's just life. (Eww life) I've waited two years for a story to update, I think I can wait this hiatus out. I can't even imagine all of those essays and with such a time constraint conflicting with school *shudders*. Do what you have to do to avoid being homeless/jobless/anything 'less' I've missed! We can wait. And when you do come back and into the swing of things with a new pharmacy school degree in the future, we'll welcome you back with open arms.
No problem, take your time!
it is okay take your time
Take your time. RL is more important than getting a story out.
I think I'll speak for most of us (your readers) when I say: Take your time. IRL issues take priority. COnsidering the quality of the story so far I can say that I'm willing to wait if it helps you with keeping to such high standards.
Good luck with the school. I can only respect you for going to study pharmacy.
Take your time my friend. School and real life always comes first and should come first.
