Iron Will's firing a pony crossbow?

Sign me up.

Just give me Vinyl Scratch in a maid outfit, bet she'll be so cute.

... whoa.

I cannot wait when is finished:pinkiehappy:

Hmmm

Lightning Dust
Derpy and Dinky?
Iron Will
Gilda
Lyra
Spitfire
Octavia

Uh, quick question- how old is the butler?

2376449 That's one of the more interesting secrets. :raritywink:

2376195 Spot on.

It's surprising how difficult it is to identify some ponies without the help of colour. Lightning Dust in particular, I think.

2376181 Me neither. :pinkiehappy:

2376136 2376077 Thanks.

2376011 Vinyl with subwoofers in her skirt.

2376009 Its name is Sasha. It fires 10000 ponies per minute. :trixieshiftright:

...Let me guess, pusedo immortality?
Or life transfer from trees?
Or ageless but not unkillable?

Umm I Think Trixie in upper right, Fleetfoot in upper middle, and Nurse Redheart in lower right.:trixieshiftright:

I'm going to guess that's Coco Pommel on the lower right. Looks like we also have a few OCs making an appearance as well, considering I've never never seen that dragon and bat pony on top of it before.

And may I ask, but you're making this yourself right? Besides Butler, did you somehow trace most of the characters there, and just added in the maid outfits? This is just out of curiosity.

Liked the old cover art more.
Less spoilers :fluttercry:

2376701 Yeah, the dragon and the bat pony are indeed OCs. I prefer scraping the bottom of the barrel rather than use OCs normally, but as far as bat ponies and female dragons are concerned, that barrel is kind of empty.

As for your question, while admittedly it would be easier, I can't trace as I'm using an android tablet to paint and the photoshop-equivalent for it is rather limited (or maybe I'm just a hopeless n00b). I do use a lot of other art for reference, particularly for drawing faces and expressions. While I've gotten the hang of posing ponies, the faces and expressions still elude me. I go for official art mainly, out of respect to other fan artists.

2376906 You're right. :rainbowderp: Uh....well, I guess the biggest spoiler is, this story's actually aaaaaaaaall about Ditzy, cause she's right at the front of the pic, see? :pinkiehappy:

2376744 Housework must be an absolute pain for earth ponies and pegasi. Surely they should have evolved their own pony-friendly tools?

Also, that maid uniform's cuter than my design. :raritydespair:

2376601 2 out of 3, good try! Though I'm sure it's because of my own poor skills with a tablet. :twilightsheepish: The lack of colour doesn't help. But check out the new coloured version to take another guess. :raritywink:

2376517 Or maybe he just doesn't want to tell anyone his age. Part of the Butler mystique, perhaps? :raritywink:

2376927 Iron Will in a maid costume ....
i .... i cannot find any words .....
anybody got mindbleach?
also when will Discord join the fray?
he must make an appearance ....
you also need to add Celly and Lulu in the picture as for their crush cannot be unimportant and how can they not be on the picture as for they are the mistresses of all of them!

2376927 Okay, so you're drawing those from references. I'd like to provide a little bit of advice from one improving artist to another if you don't mind.

It looks like you just drew the contour lines as you've probably seen from the reference pics, and while that's one of the methods, it can be pretty difficult to apply to the final product if you're just starting off from scratch. What may be a good idea for next time is to sketch out the poses you use as references first, and I mean like very rough, imperfect sketches, and make them clean enough for you to start doing the actual lining of the pic, and do them with smooth, flowing strokes.

When you get to the flat coloring, make sure you're doing it on a layer that's under the one you lined. That way you won't worry about getting the colors outside of the border, not mess up the lines, and erase what isn't needed.

That's just my advice though, and I still need to improve my own works. I hope this helps, and frankly, I'd rather not put the WIPs as cover art, and just focus on getting the thing done before posting it. You could post the WIPs like right now to show progress, and that's fine, but I just thought I'd put my two cents in there.

2376927 ... Hm, we seem to have encountered an issue.

2376927
....I'm saying that since Luna is very familiar with him, and he personally refers to her past as if he was there. Like he's over a thousand years old kind of thing.

2376505

Formed poly-carbon skeleton, and molded leather-wrapped grip. Steel plated outer casing, built to withstand intense forces which jettison bullets at speeds that boggle the human mind, painstakingly polished to a mirror—.

Wait, what? Who touched Sasha?

Who touched my pony crossbow?!
