    How long has it been?

I don't even recall the last time I dusted off this profile. It's been a while. I came on today after cleaning out my email to see if I was still getting notifications from this site. To see that they're still people who are reading my work is heartwarming.

God-f*cking-dammit · 1:18am Aug 13th, 2014

Lazarus chapter is finished and I decided that I'm going to take and after we edit the shit out of it and potentially change the ending and add more... I'm going to take a short break from Lazarus, just a mini hiatus nothing major. Possibly a week just so I can focus on my other projects.

What Am I?

The Butler *Which I saw in the featured box for two days straight, I have a competition that's whooping my ass! Greatly!*

And a new story I began planning that I'm debating on calling "Wake Me UP" or "Insomnia"

But that's not what I want to talk about, during this short little break I want to catch up what's going around fim fic. So I decided to go to the updated story list and check what's going on and... *takes a deep breath*

Now I know I sound like a complete douche (and usually I am) but damn... It might just be that time of year, or I'm just shooting too high here. All I saw and read, were either Fallout Equestria... hold on let me rephrase that. All I seen and read were Fallout Equestria stories, there were a few others but damn...

Fallout Equestria is still a thing going around? Quite honestly I don't have a problem with the genre but after seeing it for so long it just... I don't even know what to say really. You just get tired of it you know? Like Fallout in general, you get tired of playing it after a while. So what do you do? You put it away, you don't even want to look at it for a little while.

Quite honestly fimfiction needs like a filter system or something. Not the mature or sex rated content filter either. Something more complex, like a check box system. You have a list of genres. Comedy, action, adventure, ect.

And you check which boxes and stories you'd like to see. Now if Fallout Equestria was one of them boxes I'd uncheck it... Like I said I have nothing against those fan fics honestly (except for the fact they were all terribly written and that's coming from the guy who can't tell the difference between a comma and a period) it's just that it feels like another Call of Duty game.

Try something different guys. Please. Come up with something new, and don't tell me you can't! Cause everyday I'm thinking of new fan fiction or even original story ideas, it doesn't even need to be entirely different. Fuck, you could even change the title "Fallout Equestria" to something else, then I would probably read it.

Take Lazarus for example and think about it. Okay.

Lazarus is literally your typical humans in Equestria story, literally it is. What's different with Lazarus, compared to all the hundreds maybe even thousands of other Hies out there?

If you actually think about it, there's hardly any difference. The only one that might actually be different is the fact that Equestria was Earth all along, but even then that's been done before...

okay now I actually can't stop thinking about how Lazarus got popular in the first place....

Wow... now I hate it even more now. xD *Joking*

Thanks for reading this guys! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did writing it! And I'll see you, in the next chapter.

K-bye!

Does this mean the written chapter will be posted or not?
Also, the reason it got so popular is because nobody wanted to see first contact. And yes, all of the editors are in on this.

I know exactly how you feel.

How did Lazarus get so popular, anyways?

How did Lazarus get popular?

TELL ME GODDAMNIT

Oh, haha, I get it. Laser-us? Lazar-us? Lazarus? Ha.

I understand how you feel... oh wait, I don't!
(But I will still post this here just to show that I'm around =) )
Anyway... One of the reasons why Lazarus got popular is because it is a WELL-WRITTEN space-based sci-fi (but without stupid lasers and stuff) story about a bunch of humans in Equestria. And believe me, it is my favorite genre and so far I've seen only 2 or 3 decently written stories in this setting. So you might be getting some specific audience who are just like me.

2365911 The chapter will be posted I just need you guys to get to it.

2365912 I have no clue, and that pun at the end has nothing to do with it. Matter of fact Lazarus is a man in a bible story who was resurrected. I bet you already knew that though, other then that... that pun was dumb.

2365938 Meh, I'd rather have something that would please all audiences. But that's impossible I guess.

2365960 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

2366041 I have a confession to make.
Although I am an atheist, I never actually...
I never actually read the Bible.
There. I said it. I don't use my own arguments, I use others'.

the guy who can't tell the difference between a comma and a period

it isn't actually that bad. it's worse:pinkiecrazy:

Oh boy, a bunch more work on wai? I hope we can get a bunch further on this. Ya know, after we rewrite it another two times. :derpytongue2:

2366046
In the same boat buddy. Nebs had to explain it to me too, and I'm editing the thing.

2366078 Firstly, agreed. Even though I'm more of a reserve editor and Military Coordinator for Lazarus.

Secondly: I don't blame you for not reading the Bible. I only studied it with my parents, and it was my mom's idea anyway. She's Catholic, and my dad's Atheist, so it was a learning experience for both him and me.

2366301
2366078

Even if you believe or not, in some cases it is quite interesting.

2366470 Yeah. That's why I call it Creative Fiction. Because there's not enough legitimate Fact to outweigh the so-called Truth.

2366725 That's the thing though. None of the stories in the bible are "true". Even my church itself tells us that they're just stories that hold great morals. Just some people are too dumb to actual listen to the priest during mass :rainbowlaugh:

Fun fact, people actually get mad me for hating clop fics which, just like you described fallout equestrian, are like call of duty, they just keep on coming and THEY OVER SHADOW EVERYFUCKING THING!

2367110 I concur, and I will not lie, I occasionally read a story that has clop or two. Key words there though, "A story" meaning there's an actual plot.

I don't really care too much for the stories that just throw clop in your face, unless it's comedy. I'm a sucker for that.

But I digress.

All the Fallout Equestria I read usually hold a similar plot, and like I said they're probably not bad, but I don't want to read the same story over and over. It just gets boring, same goes for clop, it might not be bad but I don't want to read about the same ponies 69ing each other while flying upside down.

It just gets boring.

2367066 Exactly. But I still must ask. Have you seen Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade?

2367220 Why of course! What good ol'American hadn't?

I will admit though it's been a good while since I've actually watched it though. As I speak it's sitting on my shelf collecting dust.

2367226 Then have this quote: "Archaeology is the search for fact...not truth. If it's truth you're looking for, Dr. Tyree's philosophy class is right down the hall."

2367274 I can work with that actually.

2367276 See? I told you I was going somewhere with it. Well, no, I didn't. but my point still stands!

We need to go get wasted sometime.

2367280 Maybe in a few years after I get a car and a decent job. Other than that I need to think of a good place to put that reference to good use.

2367399 Whenever the debate arises that something is fact or fiction, and people bring up their opinions. The truth is someone's personal view of a fact. that doesn't make it less false, but it is their truth. The fact is just that; a fact. The truth is something so much more convoluted and confusing, that most would rather attend to theirs than to accept those of others.

I'll use that for TCBs.
