Writtin Stay's continuation: dished ideas. · 2:40am Aug 11th, 2014
Part of writing a fiction's work is to have an stupid idea, recognize it and dish it out. Sometimes, said idea isn't that stupid, and sometimes, it could have worked under different circumstances. So, to give something to distract my readers from the massive Valve-time that is taking to write Stay's continuation, here are some of my dished ideas:
1.- Peace at last.
Against Chrysalis orders, Jimmy goes to Appleloosa and asks for an audience with the Princesses. Presenting himself as an ambassador, he formally asks for Equestria's help. At first, both Princesses seem reluctant to this creature and its intentions, but he convince them to at least send somepony to investigate if his words are true. The pony selected is Twilight and both go back to the Hive Castle.
There, the changelings are comprehensible scared to death of the pony. Chrysalis is comprehensible pissed off. And Monarch is surprisingly exited to meet her 'auntie Twilight'.
After confirming the changelings sorry state, Twilight call for Celestia's help and the solar Princess herself arrives to the Hive Castle and the negotiations begins. Another couple of guesses arrive too. It's time for Monarch to meet her other 'aunt' Cadance and most important, to meet her father.

2.- My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic #23.1 Forever Evil: Chrysalis #1
Cover concept: Chrysalis charging at the front with Celestia trapped in a cocoon behind her and hundreds of changelings fly around. The logo 'MLP:FiM' is scratched behind the scribbled tittle 'Queen Chrysalis #1'.
Man-Bat is Chrysalis, the bats are the changelings and Batman is Celestia.
A comic book homage to the last year's event, Forever Evil. A day in the life of Chrysalis, alternating scenes in her past as princess, the events previous to the invasion and the present with Monarch and Jimmy.
Princess Chrysalis: Everyday, the tyrannic King Termite rules with an iron hoof. Everyday, he teaches his daughter how to follow his steps and keep the changeling race alive. Everyday, the young princess learns how the weak is crushed by the strong. Everyday is abut to change.
Countdown: The food is increasingly scarce. Few animals go near the hunting zones and fewer ponies venture in the dessert. The only solution available is the same that even King Termite thought impossible; Invasion.
Now: Chrysalis reflects on what she should do now, the ghost of her father and the failure in Canterlot haunting her every thought. What will she do?

3.- This looks like a job for...
This one comes directly from the original one. Jimmy's name is my way to render a small homage to the Silver Age's stories of Superman's pal, Jimmy Olsen. An early sketch of Stay's continuation was called 'Look, up in the sky'.
It was about Jimmy telling Monarch bed stories about the man of steel and his life back in Metropolis. At some point, the changelings would discover something buried in the sand near to where they found Jimmy, assuming it was his they gave it to him. He would distance himself apart from Monarch and Chrysalis, locking himself in a room for days. Five days latter, a triumphant Jimmy would come out of the room, shouting 'Eureka' as every changeling near him goes drunk because of the over the top levels of hope he's emanating. Monarch and Chrysalis ask him what the heck is going on and he simply shows them a watch in his hand, shaped like an 'S'. He tell them that the Hive doesn't have to worry, since he just found a solution. Handling the watch to Monarch, Jimmy tells her to press it. She does and it start beeping in a very high frequency. A group of changelings is scouting outside in the dessert, when one of them says:
"Up in the sky! Look!"
So, what do you think? The actual plot of the continuation is still a secret, but I would like to discuss these ones to see what have my readers to say. Come on, let me know.

I'll be honest with you. That one was really close to become the actual continuation, but in the first paragraph it was WAY too distant from the original flavor. Maybe after finishing with the actual one I would give it a try.
