The Code Series - Emerald Flare, Code of Dissonance, and Unrealized Projects

Continuing with a longstanding desire to put old works to rest, this blogpost goes over the extremely scattered notes, ideas, basic plot threads and ideas that would have taken The Code's Apprentice stories to a 5 story... conclusion of sorts.

The Twilight Shadow - Basic Plot Outline Spoiler for Twilight War sequel.

As long promised, below was the full outline - along with a couple of half-finished scenes and a big prologue blurb - for The Twilight Shadow, the Penultimate "Twilight Struggle" story, and sequel to The Twilight War. These are mostly short blurbs, along with chapter names, and a general outline of the final set of events. I have other notes, but they're extremely rambly, and not terribly well

    Looking Back

Been a long time, hasn't it?

I know a lot of you have probably moved on, but I figured I at least owed it to the longtime followers - and continued readers - to finally check in.

    Another year passed.

So if you're wondering where I've been, here's the short version.

Living outside of a home of your own kinda sucks, and my new job is incredibly time and energy demanding.

The long version takes a bit more.

Upcoming Projects · 6:14am Aug 9th, 2014

Well, I should have the epilogue to The Placement Agency done by sunday, which will mark me getting that weird little titch out of my system. Meaning I can go back to doing other stuff!

Next up on the docket - Some short comedies in the form of Rarity's Day Off and Twilight Exports Herself Repeatedly (For those of you who enjoyed Twilight Verbs Article Nouns.) Then some more serious stuff with The Great and Magnificent Seven and an attempt to re-rev my Dr. Negative engine.

After that, A couple of ship-fic ideas that I've been toying with and one fic I'm struggling to categorize. Slice of Life / drama / friend stuff? Whatever. Those include The Last Lesson (Yes, I'm finally writing Twilestia.) The Polytones (Try to guess what THIS one is about.) Sweet Dreams (Another mystery!) and the weird project, Inside Another's Eyes.

And once alllll of those are done....

Something big again. I don't know what it will be, but it'll be a big'un.

Just keeping you guys up to date.

Thanks for sticking with me and I'll see you out there in Ponyland.

Cool! I'm looking forward to it.

The Polytones, the rudest and lewdest group in Equestria. Banned from Canterlot for acts so perverse that they cause young mares to burst into heat. Reviled by all who are decent and true for corrupting the word 'buck'.

Is the fourth part of the Shadow "Trilogy" still part of the plan?

Code of Dissonance please?:fluttercry:

Hmmmm, weren't you supposed to give us the last chapter of Twilight War to set us up for the part four? I don't see that mentioned in your list of projects. Tsk, tsk. :derpytongue2:

I'm going to take a guess at some of these new fics:

The Polytones - A story that delves deep into multiple aural stimulation. Many tones. :rainbowlaugh::derpytongue2:

Sweet Dreams - A look into Pinkie Pie's edible dreamland.

Inside Another's Eyes - Obviously this is your Spike centric fic. You call it weird because Spike is actually in it! Oh ho! :rainbowlaugh::twilightsmile::scootangel:

Right now, that's the strongest contender for my big project. Since I really do want to write it.

Actually, The Polytones is where Spike shows up in a leading role. :raritywink:
