Fix it with... fire? · 5:35am Aug 7th, 2014
So the electrical panel at my place kinda sorta set itself on fire, so thats a thing. Nothing more was damaged, but since we're on wells here, there's no water anywere. I'm now sitting in a hotel (yay insurance) until we get the whole thing sorted out. Should only be a day or two, I'd imagine.
I may as yet get some writing done on this old tablet, which isn't nearly as nice as the one that died earlier this year, but has the benefit of working. Don't worry—this time I'm using an entirely deterministic software keyboard. There will be no Lindas in this chapter.
Shit, I'll buy you a keyboard if you need one. Typing on a tablet is terrible.
(Seriously, though, PM me if you want. I've very much enjoyed your story, definitely worth the cost of a nice keyboard.)
Yikes. Sorry about that.
Ouch. Well, from the sound of things, it could have been worse, the electrical panel at your place could have set your entire place on fire.
Now see, I quite like typing on tablets, at least the I-Pad. Also, good sir, you have perplexed me, what do you mean there will be no Lindas in this chapter?
2350585 I actually have a bluetooth keyboard, but I don't use it. I have yet to find one that is actually a good keyboard (I'm unfond of laptop-style keyboards)

I did some extensive editing of a previous chapter on my previous tablet and thanks to the predictive nature of swype-style input (google it if you aren't familiar) I ended up actually posting said chapter calling Luna "Linda" and Celestia "Celestial" once or twice each—and that's after being proofread by me and several others.
2350930 Oh, haha, you must have edited that out before I read it. . That is quite funny!
Don't you hate those semi-deterministic ones?

I'm not sure if you're joking or not, because yes, I do dislike keyboards whose output is only loosely guided by your input. They're great for a majority of uses the majority of the time, but when you're dealing with 10,000 word chapters... something is going to slip through the cracks.

For the record, I hate them too.
I was also... appreciating the irony, I guess?... of the nonsense of a keyboard that doesn't type what you say to type. And what you said was a pretty catchy way of saying it.
Not to mention all of the unique words and spellings we bronies use regularly.
