Sunday, Day Four of the Con (Pre post shite) · 9:10pm Aug 3rd, 2014
Well.
It's over.
The closing ceremonies (which I could not get into) are going on now, and soon it will be done for the year.
I had a blast meeting so many people.
...I will miss it.
I'll give a review later. At around 6pm I'll be heading to see Guardians of the Galaxy with others.
Then, when I get home, Babylon 5. I blame WD and Chryasslid.

These posts are supposed to make me happy for you, but they make me sad for myself.
One day, ye olde BronyCon . . .
You know, I should have asked you to [literally] drain the knowledge out of the writing panel members, so that maybe I could get a leg up on the competition here on the site.

Still, glad you had fun, Skeeter.

Well, the fandom (and the show) won't be around forever, so you might want to get on that sooner rather than later! I personally couldn't stand being around so many people without wanting to start a fight. People in large groups piss me off for some reason...
Baylon 5 is the bomb. Takes a little while to get going in season one, but seasons 2 to 4 are fantastic. Unfortunately it was showing its age by season 5, but that isn't so bad either.
One day, I might be able to go to BronyCon. Glad that you had fun though.
2340835 No. You stop that right the hell now. Bronies will be around for a VERY long time after the show is over.

Well, this [former] brony is making his exit as of now.
Yeah, I hope to make bronycon one day, but honestly... I had more than I could keep up with just at BABScon and being staff for Everfree. Bronycon looks almost too big. Honestly, I wish we could have smaller cons, just more often. I hate waiting most of a year between con seasons.
2340836 Yes, you're in for a treat with Babylon 5. The CG hasn't aged too well, but I rewatched the whole thing just a couple years ago and the writing still holds up quite nicely. It basically kickstarted this entire new generation of proper, serial (rather than episodic) sci-fi and fantasy shows that can do real stories, and not just monster-of-the-week. You can basically thank B5 for everything from Stargate SG1, to Farscape, to Game of Thrones, and even Orphan Black. Plus it had some of my favorites quotes of all time.

I'll just go ahead and add you two to the growing list of "people Skeeter blames for watching Babylon 5"...
