Sparkle No More going On Hiatus for a short while · 6:25pm Jun 7th, 2012
Okay, I really hate doing to this to you all, I really do. I hate myself for doing this as well, but as of right now, I am unhappy with some of the events in chapter 1. I'm partly thinking of completely rewriting it. The concept of the story will remain the same, though.
The problem is that the events that I chose to take place, I feel like should be different for the sake of being different from the episode. I'll still have Twilight give her spiel about her friends being the Elements of Harmony, but I feel like the way I have it now, it comes out of nowhere. It feels rushed. I also feel like there should be more of a magic fight with NMM and Twilight.
As of right now, the way I have it written, I don't think the rest of the mane 6 would know they are the Elements of Harmony, and I feel like I can play off of that for some people. Rainbow Dash, for example, being the Element of Loyalty, I would think it would kill her inside that she couldn't prevent what happened. And I need to decide whether or not I have Celestia restate that they are the Elements of have the others awake during Twilight's speech/spell casting rather than unconscious as I do now.
So chapter 1 just has some plot points I need to change. I feel chapter 2 will remain relatively unchanged, depenidng on what I decide. Only thing that could really be added is Celestia telling them they are the Elements of Harmony, but that could also be done in Chapter 3.
So yeah. I, myself, am unhappy with chapter 1's current state. And I need to work all this out in my head before I can continue. I really hope you'll all continue to track/support me through this. And again, I apologize.
