As you might have noticed, I've released the first portion of the alternate ending of 'We are our Habits' and the first chapter of my new story, 'Luxury'.

Let's start with the first. I am leaving the story "complete" during this process because the true story is complete. The alternate is something that I had bouncing around in my head, and it just wouldn't go away. So, I decided to roll with it, and get it out of my head, the easy way. By putting it to paper.

'Luxury' is an idea that just came out of the blue. And, truly, it started as an idea of a scene near the end of the story. I also wanted to try my hand at Female-you. It might not follow the standard "this character is you" of second person writing, more of a "you are this character." I've not really read any Fics where "you" can do everything that "I" would do in these situations, so it makes more sense to put you in someone else's body, rather than try to put myself in all of yours. As for the undecided SFG rating, I'm not sure how far it will go. I do know one thing, it will NOT be a clopfic. Even if it does involve sex, it will not be explicit, and it will be only a small portion of one chapter, near the end, of a fairly long story. As I've ranted about multiple times in comments, sex in a real romance story has a different purpose than an instant-grat clopfic.

On a tangent not directly related to my stories. Editing on an iPad is a generally bad idea, i went through about five chapters and created as many errors as I fixed. Between auto-capitalization when you start typing in a new field, and a buggy autocorrect while in fimfic's editor, I managed to screw a lot up. Including one instance where the iPad took the last half of one word and all of a second and merged it into the element Yttrium... Really? Do I look like a scientist? Actually, I love science. That's beside the point, though.

On another side note. A while ago, there were a lot of '"X" pony approves of this' badges made. Somehow the artist left out Vinyl Scratch, and I decided that that just wouldn't do. So, I made one (the one on my profile page). I just noticed that in April one of the few people who commented on it was none other than Sibsy. Needless to say, a mind was blown, and I may never recover.

Lastly, Diablo 3 has been a cruel-hearted bitch because I have to keep fighting the urge to play, instead of writing. And I feel so bad about it because even when I'm logged in to D3, my mind is gnawing at itself telling me I need to log off and write, or log off and eat, or... Well, you get the point. Sorry it took so long, and I hope that you can forgive me, or at least accept my two new posts as an appeasement gift.
