A guy trying this site out as an experiment. How I fare will determine whether or not I stay on. I write mainly HiE -- though still a novice -- and may or may not have pairings.

My First Story · 3:50am Jul 28th, 2014

Okay, early this evening, I submitted my first story, An Unfortunate (Yet Fortunate) Human Named Alvin, to fimfiction.com.

Since then, I've have received many constructive criticisms from various other writers and fans of MLP:FiM. Rather than address all of them individually, this blog may help in sorting things out. First off, this story is based of an RP I did with a friend of mine who also, one might say, "lacks experience." Therefore, this story may not be up to the high standards of some of the readers who have read it and wish for Alvin to "stick a box of cornflakes up his ass."

Second of all, and I can't stress this enough, don't start hating the story after the first chapter! I can assure you all that, as time goes on, and I can develop my writing skills better -- I am a novice and just joined this month -- this story will improve. Alvin may seem like a generic OC, and Twilight was quick to accept him as a friend, but there is a reason for this. Why people have such a hard time with waiting for future chapters and character developments to arise before they start hating on a story is beyond me.

Maybe I'm asking too much. Is that it? You just want me to shut up and take down this story before it even has a chance to improve?

If so, just tell me now, and, with enough support, I'll gladly take down this story with no questions asked.

I just wanted to get this out there before there are anymore flamers/haters out there who desire to crush an aspiring writers dreams. To them, I say, "Thanks a lot, jerks!"
