New Wolfenstein. Talk now.
Story and Setting
B.J. Blazkowics has been in a coma for fourteen years after a failed mission to kill an evil scientist. Now in the 1960, B.J. must find the resistence and stop the source of the Nazi keeping in power machine. The story is surprising good for a game about killing Nazi. I think this help by the feeling of dread of the fact that the Nazi are ruling the world and how the characters cope with it. B.J. himself seems to gain a personalty of someone who's just tired of this war and wants it to end. There's some horrifying images and letters to think about such as the level in a concentration camp and what the Nazi are planning to do on the moon. And the choose near the beginning doesn't change the story much except what hacking game you get, what upgrade pick ups you find, or if you get a cute Russian girl or a cameo in the safehouse.
Gameplay
You can't really talk much about shooter gameplay unless it adds something, but does it do what it does well. Yes. You have to find health and armor and you carrying all the weapons you find in that level. They also brought back maps which I thought they stopped using in shooters. There are also upgrades, but you have to earn by doing certain actions, so if you want a bigger clip size, you need to learn how to use cover. There are also multiple ways to fight a battle or you might be able to find a way to get past them. Yes I could fight those guards, or I could hack my way through this door and take a shortcut. one complaint I do have is that the enemies look kinda the same because of the black armor. Yes I know the Shotgun Guys wear orange highlights but the robots and supersoilders are very hard to tell apart from a distance.
Conclusion
Sorry if I don't have a lot to say, it's a good shooter with a good story and I hope you can give it a look
