Hello from Mexico! Here are some things · 11:40pm Jul 22nd, 2014
Greetings from Mexico, amigos. The weather is extremely hot and humid down here, but god damn is it beautiful. Unfortunately, I don't get cell service here, at least, not from my original provider (and I'm not signed up with the local provider). Also, like I said before, I didn't bring my computer, so I'm typing this on my phone (which is why you might see some errors, etc.) however I can still get email, so anyone who wants to get in contact with me should just email me.
Anyway, Mexico is great as always, and I'm here until Saturday.
However, I wanted to talk about some things and stuff. Here's hoping that more than ten people will actually read this blog.
Firstly, I suspended MSE again, just because I haven't been able to come up with a coherent storyline yet. I'm still doing the Dragon remake and the Terminus sequel; however I've resolved to not post any new stories until Terminus is complete.
I did have some new ideas, though. Perhaps an ongoing comedy story similar in vein to "Skyrim COPS." I also wanted to make a story with my two new OCs, Ghostdance and Autumn. For the latter I have an idea, but the former I'm still working on.
If anyone needs anyone for a collab, I'd be interested.
Lastly, despite what I said earlier, I did consider at one point making a Fallout Equestria story. The thing is, I fucking love Fallout. I love the gameplay, I love the characters, I love the settings...but most of all, I love the lore. To me, Fallout lore is one of the best in video game history. That being said, when I tried to read FE I was disappointed and even angry occasionally by how shallow and weak the lore is. I think it does a huge disservice to the original lore, a bit like how the Lorax movie was a slap in the face to the Lorax book.
That being said, considering I'm actually in the process of writing Fallout novelizations just for S&G, the thought did cross my mind. I had plenty of ideas of how I could combine ponies and Fallout in a story.
The problem is, to the best of my knowledge my ideas aren't exactly friendly to FE fanon, and I don't want a million idiot fanboys raging at me and sending me death threats just because my story doesn't fit with their stupid lore. So I said "fuck it" and went back to playing Fallout, where the real good stuff is.
Sorry if I seem terse. I cut my foot on a piece of coral today. It's not poisoned or infected, but it stings like crazy.
Anyway, typing on this POS phone is really starting to piss me off, so I'm gonna end it here. Romanes eunt domus.
The Lorax movie is actually fairly close to the book, in that the bad guys get no redeeming qualities and the whole thing feels like a cheap environmentalist cash-in. The animated movie from the 70's is the one people remember.
2307855 Hey, the book is a lot more than that. I hated the new Lorax movie from the beginning, but it was only after watching the Nostalgia Critic's review of the movie that I understood WHY I hated it. I'd recommend checking it out.
