Brother, That's a Lot of Dimes! · 1:12am Jul 20th, 2014
So, uh, when I put up that donation pool yesterday, I was hoping for, at most, $20. Maybe $30, if I was lucky, and I would have considered myself blessed. Instead...
My emotions:
Wow, just...wow. I...I don't know what to say guys. All I can think is:
You are all amazing. Every last one of you, even those who could only send good wishes and their condolences, sending so much love my way has been overwhelming. In a time that I thought the world was used up with me, you all showed me that there is still hope in the world. Not in the money itself, but that so many strangers are willing to give money they earned to someone in need, without hesitation. It has been an honor and a privilege to write for all of you, and to entertain all of you. It has been absolutely wonderful.
So what now? I admit, I won't turn down more donations. Mostly because I've never actually owned this much money at one time, so I'm kind of overwhelmed. But yeah, don't feel like I need it anymore. I am also going to donate 10% of the money to charity, probably to the American Red Cross or to the USO. Y'all can comment which you'd prefer, or if there is a better charity that y'all think could use the money. For the rest, I don't know at the moment, but just...thank you all so much. This means the world to me.
I love you all.

Wow. I didn't realizing my contribution would be so... let's call it "major," if you catch my drift. I was more than happy to help out. That money is for you to do as you please, so by all means pick whatever charity you wish for my part.

Awesome.
If it means anything, if I had a credit card, I'd probably chip in $20. But why don't you save that money for some other brony who takes tips for their pony related work? Either way, I look forward to what you have to put out next, and I'd be happy to pre-read for you just to get some more practice in, if to have nothing in return other than you giving some of my stories a glance and a like
hey you deserve every penny. I would have donated, but I'm kind of scrooging my money so I can afford a car for myself
Sheesh, you've acquired a tiny fortune in a day. I guess your just an awesome person.
I demand my $20 goes to you buying yourself a pizza. No more dying from starvation.
But seriously, I won't mind if you used it for your mother's medical bills.
Well, you're a great person all around, and a frickin' good friend, too. It's the least I could do. I sincerely hope things take a turn for the best for you.
