The Weirdest Horse Care Video I Have Ever Seen · 12:51am Jul 20th, 2014
I'm now gearing up once again to write A Mighty Demon Slayer Grooms Some Ponies, so I am of course once again doing research into horse care. It's been a while since I've broached this topic.
A lot of my research has come from YouTube, where various equestriennes have generously offered tips on currying, mane braiding, hoof cleaning, and even equine massage therapy. So here I am, sitting alone in my motel room, watching videos on how to brush a horse.
Man, I have got to change my life.
Anyway, of all the weird videos I've watched about horses . . . this one is the weirdest. I pass it along because it can teach you not only how to care for your pony, but how to care for your My Little Pony.

Technically, we did get an ending before. Just no one liked it.
So I guess the Crafty pony is some kind of practice tool for the next generation of horse riders. It's a good idea.

I guess it depends on whether you see the glass as half full or half empty.
So I learned the the Dandy Brush is used on the body.
And the Body Brush isn't.
I noticed they skipped the part where you're supposed to knee the horse in the barrel when you tighten the girth strap. Perhaps Irish ponies are better behaved, and don't want their riders to fall off.
I recall the creators through about having ponies wear bridles but decided it looked weird.

I prefer to research what goes into my stories as well. Though, being a compulsive planner, it's all a part of the creative process for me. I want the real science to be sound so people's suspension of disbelief aren't already taxed when it comes to the more fantastical elements.
That video is interesting. Though, I guess training a kid on something that won't kick their skull in is safer.
If it makes you happy, why not do crazy things?

Bridles are a cyclical fashion in Equestria, they were in fashion when TS moved to Ponyville then they went away.
Rarity is trying to bring them back, though, she had some bridles on display again in her boutique in season 4.
They never went out of fashion in Saddle Arabia.
