I just realized something. · 3:11am Jul 17th, 2014
There's actually a name for what Voldemort did when he worked for Borgin & Burke's: he was their picker. That means that he could have had his own reality show, if he'd stuck with them long enough.
I'm sure I'm not the first person to figure this out, but I'm still struck by the fact that Voldemort's first job wasn't really that shady. (Okay, it was shady, but only because of the kind of stuff his bosses wanted him to pick for their inventory.)
What if Tom actually started to like and enjoy his job and didn't continue to be an evil wizard nazi?
What if he became a veteran picker?
What if Snape became his picker apprentice?
What if shenanigans?
Villains gotta start somewhere.
2292910 Take Darth Vader for example, he started out as an annoying little kid that we all wish we could forget. And he became one of e most memorable villains of all time.
2292919 Well, actually...
Actually, he went from one of the most memora8le villains of all time to an annoying little kid that we all wish we could forget. That's what happens when you m8ke the prequel second. People get younger.
