    UK Elections

    Congratulations, Brits.

I was rooting for the Elmo cosplayer, but the Trump cosplayer seems nice. The tweet salt is quite fantastic, gonna mine me some for a while.

    The Outer Worlds

I got the game because it looked like the Fallout fix I needed. Obsidian, who made New Vegas, made it. It looked like Space Fallout and had a lot of similarities. Waited for the Black Friday sale, then grabbed it for $48. Thanks for the holiday, you turkey-eating Americans.

Crying - I remember the last time I cried a single tear. My brother dragged me to watch a movie about how a post-apocalyptic society had turned into highschool by dividing everyone into nerds, jocks, the student council, and the loudmouths. I was so bored that I yawned and I think my face muscles squeezed out a lone tear from my eyes. Whenever I cried out of emotional pain though, that stuff comes out in streams, complete with torrents of snot. It's disgusting and ugly. Which is good. Crying should be ugly. That way, people don't want to make you do it.

Wing boners and Preening - I'm going to have to sue my high school. Those fuckers told me that a wing was a specialized arm and feathers were akin to hair for birds. They didn't tell me the truth that wings are actually specialized penises and feathers are ultra-sensitive nerve endings that will cause you to orgasm at the slightest touch. My professor even told me that birds take oil from their uropygal gland and apply it to their feathers to groom and waterproof them. What a bunch of crock! The bird is clearly masturbating. I should have gotten Doctor Klein from Fallout: New Vegas as my science teacher. He seems to have gotten things right.

I love your blogs :rainbowlaugh:

Which is funny, because I have no problem with more mild crying in fan fiction, and yet love that kind of snot pouring and mumbling crying as well. It really depends on the setting and context of the story, and even the person who is crying, but there are some times during a complete mental breakdown that a wild, groaning, incoherent mumbling and loud inhaling cry is just exactly the kind of thing a story needs. I can see that being Rainbow's crying when she's truly pushed to the breaking point or revealing a massive secret and stressor that it makes her snap.

So does that mean pegasi and alicorns have a tiny gland near their butts to lube up those wings? Eww. Eww.

Although there are several instances in the show with the wings being able to act like arms. Think about how during Hurricane Fluttershy when one of the mares was doing push ups with her wings. They have to be solid somewhere. And it's possible for them to only flap the very tips of them and curl them like fingers. To me, that seems to lean toward them having some sort of wing bones there of some sort.

I think that while you have a point, there are reasonable ways to use all three of those.

Crying is best when it's not described in detail, but merely mentioned as a way of deepening the description of a character's emotions (especially useful when it's someone like Celestia that has almost total control over themselves and a tear forcing its way out of their eye is the only crack in their armor)

Wing boners could very easily be used as a way to help the stallion stabilize himself (I'll let your imagination take it from there)

Preening would likely be not so much sexual as sensual. I would compare it to brushing of hair or back massages. I especially like how this is done in How to Preen Your Chicken where it is a mother-daughter bonding, but it could easily be something that a stallion would do do his special somepony

Well, looking at Wikipedia and trying to extrapolate from birds to equines, I'd guess it would be on the back, at the base of the tail; not below the tail.

It's the little things like this that make you realise what a freakish kind of hybrid a pegasus would be in a totally realistic setting.

It took me an hour to remember, but shuddering. When is the last time you shuddered not because of the cold? Really? That long ago? Because everyone in a [dark] fic does it multiple times a day.

Aahahahahahah

I just shuddered a while ago, although that was because I was taking a piss.

I do shudder when I start to get frightened and, during those times I was really terrified, I really do tremble uncontrollably as if I was naked in a blizzard.

There are actually a few valid reasons for the wings to display. It's funny, I did a blog about that a while back if you want to read it.

And yes, wings are not penises. I can however see a nice massage on them being a sensual act.

Well, a massage or any form of mutual grooming can be very sensual, even things like ear-cleaning or eating parasitic insects stuck in the other creature's hide, but I would attribute it more to the sense of intimacy along with the time and attention being lavished upon the other character. I would place it more along the lines of foreplay, however. Massaging is not the same as jerking off.

It gets to silly territory when you have a scene where a pegasus/alicorn orgasms by chewing on her own wings.

As for display, well that's understandable. I don't have a problem with pegasi raising their wings to make themselves look bigger on instinct.

2283667 Agreed, it's not the same at all. Now, that being said, just about anything can be an erogenous zone, and the wings would tend to be fairly sensitive to read changes in the air currents.

I think they whole wingboner concept comes from just how expressive pegasi are with their wings. Dash in particular has her wings up anytime she's excited about something, which is basically all the time. But even if they call it that, it does not make it one.
