    The Banach-Tarski Theorem describes how to split a sphere and re-arrange the pieces to make two spheres of volume equal to the original sphere. Turns out it works on dragons, too.

Deleted Scene: The Banach-Tarski Dragon · 8:48pm Jul 11th, 2014

"Huzzah! We have arrived!"

Four hooves thudded to the ground in the wreckage of what had once been Sugarcube Corner. Princess Luna wore armour and held out a sword in her magic; she looked around suspiciously for any sign of giant rampaging dragons.

"No rampaging beast shall threaten our little ponies and get away with it!" she announced. She swished her sword through the air and poked an imaginary foe with it. "Come out from hiding, foul beast! We have been practicing!"

* * *

At one point, this was going to be how the story ended - a call-back to Rarity's line about how Big Spike could have been heard from Canterlot. In the end, though, I decided that it would spoil the ending I did end up with; and thus Luna's (very) brief scene was cut from the story.

But overenthusiastic Luna is too much fun to just be entirely forgotten.
