RLYoshi

I primarily make YouTube videos, but I like to write too. This is where my pony writing goes. Typically adventure or dark, lots of OCs, consistent updates not guaranteed, batteries not included.

    Do people care?

I'm starting to wonder if people even really care about the story I'm writing right now, Equinox Mission Logs. There've been no comments or feedback, and very few follows or even views (compared to my other stuff, anyway; twenty consistent people reading per chapter is still a decent amount from a neutral standpoint).

    I couldn't wait any longer.

I got too impatient waiting for September 1st. :derpytongue2:

New story goes up as soon as the publish queue gets to it, so in less than an hour.

    Long time no see

So, uh, you're still following me, huh? I'm a bit surprised, gonna be honest. I mean, my last update was... December, I think? And that was just asking what's up with the new genre tags. Last update before then was September. Been almost a year.

    So many new genre tags!

The last time I set up a story, we had... like, ten genres. Romance, Adventure, Slice of Life, Dark, Comedy, Random (you also basically needed the first if you had the second), Sad, Tragedy (once again, need the first if you have the second), Crossover, and Alternate Universe. And then Human was added a bit later before I kind of vanished.

Well, I think I've gone long enough without really updating anything. Time to tell you guys exactly what I have planned for my stories now.

Future Stories Update · 7:41am Jul 11th, 2014

Since nobody really even reads these blogs unless I tag DEATH BATTLE: Equestria in them, might as well use them to keep track of my progress for the three people who actually read my posts.

The four stories below have been given project names, so they can be kept track of without giving away their titles (which would cause one of two things: spoilers, or people asking what significance the title has and me not wanting to explain). Project Decades you're possibly already familiar with, but the others will be new. They are being put down in the order they will likely be published.

Project Rabbit

Completely solo project. Sort of a slice of life story, but very dark and will be my first Mature-rated story that actually deserves such a rating.

Progress is going slow, mostly because starting a new story - heck, even a new chapter, or a new scene - is my main weakness in writing. I'm also trying to find the right balance of action in the first chapter that will grab the audience's attention, but not give anything away too early and leave me with nothing to work with in the next couple chapters. Nevertheless, since this is the only one of my stories that is fully planned out at the moment, I have a feeling it will be the easiest one to write; no coming up with ideas now, just taking my planned ideas and working them into scenes. It will also be my first story to end out of these four, since the other three have no planned endings yet.

Note that as I said above, this story will be very dark. It will include a large amount of cursing, vulgar humour, and violence (have yet to decide how bloody it'll get), and while I doubt any sex will appear onscreen, sexual references will be all over the gaff. (And apparently Google Chrome thinks "humour" isn't a word, but knows that "gaff" is. GG, GC. GG.)

Project Thestral

Collab with a friend. Slice of life story, with a slightly dark overarching plot. And, if our plan succeeds, adorable to diabetes-inducing levels.

Progress on this is the best out of the four stories in terms of actually writing, and honestly, this is my favourite story out of the four. We have almost five chapters written, and the only reason I'm not publishing it now is because I want to get cover art for it first (and get the fifth chapter completed, but that honestly won't take long at all). It will probably be the most frequently updated, aside from Project Decades for reasons explained in that section.

Project Cautery

Collab with two friends. Fallout: Equestria story, nuff said.

Progress is slow, and I blame one of my co-writers who has so far only created his main character. This'll probably take a while to get rolling, and it'll likely be the least frequently updated of the stories, but hopefully that will be made up for with its long chapters (we're aiming for 5k words minimum, and we expect to be surpassing that not even halfway through each chapter later in the story).

Project Decades

Solo effort at least for the time being. An innovative take on a slice of life story.

I like to think that this idea has never been done before in the realm of fiction. At the very least, in the realm of pony fan fiction.

I've had this story on pause for a bit, since I've been trying to prepare it by figuring out the first couple hundred chapters before I start writing (this story will be several thousand chapters long...kill me now :pinkiesick: ). Due to the way the story is, when it comes out, it won't be just updated whenever a new chapter's ready; it'll be updated with multiple chapters at once every day, and at the end of each arc, I'll take a break from anywhere from one to three months, then resume again for the next arc.

This story will potentially go on the longest; whereas Thestral and Cautery simply have no planned ending, this one has a planned ending at such a point in the story that it is not unreasonable to assume it will take years to reach it. In fact, by my math, starting when I actually start publishing the story, it will take a minimum of five years to finish - not exactly bad considering the scale of the project, but still rather intimidating to think about. Then again, there's a six-and-a-half year wait going on between Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. 4, and people seemed to be fine with that wait, so...well, we'll see.

:pinkiehappy: Ooh, some of my favorite things!

Also, 5 years?! 5 YEARS?! That is RIDICULOUS!

...I love it! :pinkiehappy:

2273987 That's five years plus the time it'll take to get the story ready to be published, which could take a year or two itself. And it's assuming I only take a one-month break between each arc, and that there's no interruptions that cause a delay, which is almost entirely unavoidable since there's bound to be at least one day when I can't hit the Publish button for whatever reason. Internet being down, FIMFiction failing, just forgetting...

It's stressful as all hell, but I hope it'll be worth it.

2273988 You know you're just making want to see what this is even more, right?

2273990 I'm fine with that either way. I was just letting you know that five years is a very bare minimum.

five years

five years

five years!!!

I commend you on your dedication. Carry on good sir.

Well, at least you're updating more often than Little Kuriboh.

:facehoof: I can't believe I just said that with a straight face.
