With regards to Friendship is Escape Velocity, I'm currently wading through the next chapter. It's not a good one. In fact, it's entirely possible that Haversack Joe might die.
Throughout this story, I've been ducking deux ex machinae all over the shop. At Nipton, I toyed with a crazy Pinkamena riding a giant rock like a circus ball, crushing Legionnaires underhoof. Right now, I'm steadfastly ignoring some fanfiction.net reviewer's assertion that unicorn telekinesis could manipulate multiple weapons simultaneously. And, over all, I'm trying to avoid Celestia reverse-engineering Twilight's spell and sending in the cavalry.
After all, the Mane Six are gentle folk, and it takes a lot to make them get into fights in earnest, or so I gather. Especially ones where not just pride, but limb and life are potential forfeits. They're the Elements of Harmony, after all, not War.
From here, the next step is the REPCONN facility. And once there... well, I'm unsure what to do. Either I complete Come Fly With Me with ponies, or they find something else. Either way, The End is nigh (cheers from those following the Ra'jirra stories!)
After this... well, I know there's some agitation for a sequel to Shetlander, but I also have an idea for a Daring Do story; also, as stated, I still think a Shetlander 2.0 would be a good idea.
