Fyn16

I've been a brony for a year and a half, and a pilot for a year, and I plan on using both of those experiences to write my stories. Be awesome, everyone!

  • TWings of Deceit
Civil war breaks out in the Griffon Kingdom, and Nimbus finds himself and his squadron plunged into the thick of it after a surprise attack on Equestrian soil. But nothing is truly as it seems.

Blog Story! (Just in time for Christmas!)

I'm going to try a little something as we move further into the holiday season- starting tomorrow, I'm going to begin posting small sections of a piece from my headcanon's Pegasus mythology library (now that's a mouthful). This will be revealed as a telling from Nimbus to Whirlwind, two of my characters. Without further ado, let's get into this!

(Link to New Story!) Follow-Up to my Hiatus Post

    https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10688817/1/Ace-Combat-Forgotten-Skies

The link above is for my new Ace Combat story, Forgotten Skies! There may be some references to my pony works, some more obvious than others, so if you read it, keep your eyes peeled! Also, please leave feedback if you choose to read it (granted I've only done the prologue, so...)

    PLEASE READ! On Hiatus

After completing book 1 of "Wings of Deceit," I've decided to put things on hiatus for a month or so. I need a bit more inspiration, classes are becoming more involved, and I'm going to begin working on an Ace Combat fanfic during this time. If anyone's interested, I'll post links once it's underway. But what does this mean for this site? Well, I may not be posting during this time, but I'll

The next chapter (and the conclusion to book 1 of Wings of Deceit) is now complete. Just running it through a few pre-readers before I release it. It'll be here soon!

ATTENTION- Change to chapter release schedule · 3:21pm Jul 9th, 2014

Hey all!

So I'm into my summer job at full swing now, and unfortunately that means work on my story is going to be delayed. Note- I did not say the story is on hiatus, rather that it's going to simply take longer to release the individual chapters. As you may have noticed, I've also recalled the latest chapter for Wings of Deceit to revise its plausibility. That should return by the end of the week (hopefully) although it may be somewhat delayed (due to an AC: Infinity tournament that I've finally decided to participate in. RAFALE REPRESENT!) Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused, but good things will be on the horizon soon. Thanks for hanging in there!

All right... Which one is it: Rot, Wizard, or Crow?

Well, actually it's Rot and Wizard! I saved up quite a bit of sortie fuel while I took a break from competitive flying and decided to use it for the tournament. Jumping on from day one, I've thus far been able to stay in the top thousand, which nets in the tourney's best goodies (or so they say, though lower ranks actually get credits and research reports). The event ended about an hour and a half ago, so unless someone went nuts in a Raptor (as Raptors are wont to do in this game), my standings should be final, meaning that I get the emblems and callsigns from the Rot and Wizard squadrons. I guess that's cool and all (Rot's got a really cool emblem that I've never seen up close before) but I'm honestly more excited about the fact that I got an ADFX-01 in Pixy's paint scheme as a random drop after a match. That and the fact that this game has given me a huge, newfound appreciation for the Dassault Rafale and the Sukhoi SU-24, both of which are highly underrated, very capable combat aircraft.

Of course, as I predicted a while back, online has pretty much become a furball of F-22s and F-35s. Nothing's more refreshing than seeing someone in a Flanker (common, but not overused) or a Typhoon (an airplane that was once overused but was pretty much used as a stepping stone for the Raptor guys) enter a room and sortie with me. My roommate and I have also pretty much made a game out of using our top aircraft to beat the campaign missions as quickly as possible. My Rafale holds three out of the five missions, but the Fencer challenges it on the Stonehenge offensive. They really did that mission justice; the facility is incredible. Next week they're supposed to be releasing an update for Area B7R, including some campaign missions and a PvP mode for online.

...but I digress. Yep, Rot and Wizard are what I'll be taking home from this (a far cry from the F-14 "Wardog" edition they were handing out a few weeks ago, but whatever).
